Add your name to the list.
Today something historic is happening. Global concerts are taking place to raise awareness about poverty in Africa. EVERY DAY IN AFRICA 30,000 CHILDREN DIE. Every day. We would not let that happen in California. Or Utah. Or England. Or Germany. So why in Africa? Please go here to add your name to "The Live8 list." It's a worldwide list, an outcry to the leaders of the eight richest most industrialized countries on Earth to make poverty in Africa a priority. You don't have to give an email address or anything other than your name and what country you are from. WE ARE SO BLESSED. Please add your name to the list and let's be part of ending poverty in Africa in our lifetime. I believe we can do it.

I think the statistics about Africa are shocking. Most Americans don't even have the slightest awareness of what pampered, privileged lives we lead. We think we are not "rich" because there are so many people in our country who are Mega-rich, but we are all rich beyond words compared to the rest of the world.

the poverty in africa is terrible when there is such wealth in the world. if the money we waste was funneled into programs teaching them skills and trades so they could eventually take care of themselves the entire world would be blessed.
