Happy Birthday Quinn

 Happy 4th Birthday to the spunky, adorable, blue-eyed Quinn!  She keeps her mom and dad on their toes and is a great sister to Sophie and Cooper.

Willey's Shop 'til You Drop 2010

Yes it is true, we had another shop til you drop weekend. We had so much fun in Park City 2 days and 2 nights!! I think we were a little more conservative in our buying this year.....must be the recession. Oh wait that doesn't count Aly :>)

Thanks Tim for tending the kids, Kara really enjoyed the break!

UDSA Buddy Walk

Kristen and I had the opportunity to participate in the Buddy Walk....Utah Downs Syndrome Association sponsored.

This is me and Sydney, there were 4 kids from my class there. I couldn't keep up with them to get pictures of all. Kristen and I were part of Sydney's team.

Kristen ran in the 5k.....she did very well!!

Cooper and Sophie came and enjoyed the games and fun. They also walked the Buddy walk with us. After the walk we all enjoyed a hot dog for lunch.

This is me and a co-worker up in the balloon....fun

The name of the balloon is "Out of the Blue". It is a 90,000 cubic ft balloon.

It goes as fast as the wind is blowing. The best flying time is just before sunrise or 1-2 hours before sunset. They usually fly them at about 500-1000 ft, and the crew needs oxygen if they go about 14,000 ft. The record for a hot air balloon is 77,000 ft high!

This balloon can be in the air for 2-3 hours on 30-50 gallons of propane. They have a chase crew that sets up and follows the balloon while it is flying.

It was so fun to see and do. Some of the kids sure did want a ride, too. I told them to untether us if they want, but they wouldn't ;0

Wish I could have shared this with Kelly....he has always wanted to go up in a balloon. Maybe someday.

This happened on July 1, 2010. I tripped on the sidewalk during a fast walk--I was with Alyson. Thanks Aly for all your help. i fell flat out, straight down , my hand took the brunt of the fall.

The momentum sent my hand rolling & the fingers bent back--it popped two open & broke one. 11 stitches. i have other bruises and road rash, but am lucky as it could have been worse.

I will be grateful when I will have two hands back.

ps. the good news after ortho dr. visit: 3 small, but stable fractures. Immediate physical therapy. no surgery for fractures. Bad news: partial or completely torn ligaments in my hand---re-eval in 3 weeks.

Fun Times with Cali Kids

We had so much fun with Jeff, Erin and the girls when we visited last week.

Grandma's sweet 6 year olds....they say they are ready for first grade.

Paige is growing up---and her sisters smother her with love. We smothered her with love and kisses while we were there, too.

COOPER'S FIRST BASEBALL GAME

We supported Cooper in his first baseball game. He had a blast, but thought as soon as you touched home you got to bat again :) Cooper didn't particularly love playing in the field....third base in this game.

Cooper was the biggest kid on his team....the fielders move out when he comes to bat. I think he did get the best hit of the game.

We've been super busy this week:

(Jeff was sad it is still peak golf season, so it's >$200/round.
Maybe in July.)

My new favorite beach: La Jolla Shores...It is FanFreakinTastic.
I could live there if I had an extra million or two laying around.
