Blake is getting blessed

Dear Family May 27,09

We are livng it up in Anna. It is about 40 minutes from the church. We also live out in the country with the Matuszewich family. It is going good and we tracted the other day for a few hours and found a lady named Kristen and we also found some other potentials. It is great to be serving with Elder Hooton he is from West valley City Ut. We have been biking
a lot and it has been nice to get seen so much. The members down here are loving it and are excited to have missionarys down here. this is the new address.

What a Great Family - Thanks to All!

I just wanted to say a huge "THANK YOU" to Amy for a wonderful retirement party on Wednesday, and thanks to everyone who helped or took time to attend.

The party was exactly like I had hoped it would be. Everyone at my school was so impressed with it, and even more impressed with our family. All day Thursday people were commenting about it.

I love and appreciate you all very much!

Brayden's Homecoming

Brayden is coming home on June 4th and his Sacrament meeting/homecoming will be June 14th. Our sacrament starts at 1:00 p.m. at the church right behind our house. Everyone is invited to come and attend just sacrament, or stay to the entire block. I know we'll be having food of some kind, but don't know what yet. come if you can and stay as long as you want.

Dear family, May 18, 09

This is getting really crazy it is the 4th time trying to write you this letter. It will be a little shorter than the last 3 because I don't want it to close. Well more service this week and on Sat May 16th Sheila got baptized. It was very strong with the spirit and couldn't have done it without the members help. She has been the best fellowshipped investigator I have seen on my mission. Then On Sun I got to confirm her a member of the church which was a neat experience. Also for transfers I am staying and going to be getting Elder Hooten and Elder Bowen is going home for a while with his medical problems. It is crazy but it will be good. Also this week or next we are going to be moving in with the Matuszuvich family in Anna it is going to be great.

Hello All

So i guess it is time for an update on the ole marine huh?   Well i am out in Fort Meade, Maryland, its just outside of Baltimore, MD.  I have been here for almost 2 weeks, I am waiting to pick up class right now, i dont start until july so ya i kinda hang out and workout all day.  I am the colorguard commander, which means I am in charge of the colorguard, calling practice, calling commands, saying the caddences.  Colorguard is the ones you see that march out for events, ceremonies, that carry the flags.  We do it all over around here, because this is a high profile area for military.  I love it, colors is the greastest honor you can do.  Its alot of work, and it has to be perfect dead on, but you all know me, i get stuff done.  It is green as ever out here, lots of humidity and rain.  I am currently on an army base, which sucks, but is nice because they treat marines with a high respect here.  I am only 30 minutes from Washington DC, I am going there on Sunday for a ceremony that i am doing colorguard at for a veterans service.  I will be here for around 5-9 months could be shorter, could be longer.  I still love the Marine Corps.  I am learning so much and gaining alot from it, and i am so glad i joined.  Ronald Reagan said "Most people go thru life wondering if they made a difference, Marines don't have that problem."  well ya my cell is the same number and my address is:                    8607 6th Armored Cavalry Rd

My Retirement Party - Anyone Who's Interested is Invited!

Well yeah, it's getting obvious I'm not going to get them in the mail! Love to see anyone who can come. (No pressure, I realize this is not the social event of the season!)

Edit: Kids are definitely invited! I'm sure most of the people who come will be my former students. I have a huge collection of books that are my own property, and for those of you with kids, I'd love to give them a couple of books from my classroom as a memory of when I was a teacher. Even for kids who might not be quite that old yet, it would be fun.

Welcome Mason Keith Howell born May 15th at 12:16 pm. He weighs in at 7 lbs and is 19 1/4 inches tall. We arre very excited to have him here safe and very healthy... Congratulations to Garrett and Jane!

Mother and Baby are doing great and he is a cutie!! I will post pictures as soon as I can get a cord or card reader! ( I just discovered that I forgot mine :( )

Thinking About Mothers

I'm spending a work-filled Mother's Day thinking about what a loving Mother I had, along with two great stepmothers. I'm also thinking about how many other wonderful Mothers we have in the family.

I can't help but imagine that Mom (Grandma Denny) would be so happy to see what a legacy of loving motherhood she started. I hope all are having a great day!

I'm going to start posting a schedule just before each new month, so that anyone who wants to sign up can pick a date that they'd like to take dinner and eat with Grandpa or just go visit and eat with him there. (There is supposed to be a $4 charge for people who eat there, but Pam says they didn't charge her when she did it.)

One month ago...

Little Blake is one month old today! I can't believe it's already been a month. He's a pretty good little boy and Bridger is slowly adjusting to having a little brother.

Brayden coming home!

I know I don't get / make time too look at the blog anymore, but thought I'd post that Brayden will be home on June 4th!!
