Look who is all grown up...well sort of.

Somebody in this big, gigantic, growing, family is a year older, a year smarter, a year cuter, a year kinder, a year wiser, a year taller, a year more experienced, a year more talented, and a year more LOVED by all of us. Happy Birthday Taylor. We love you.

Brian pulled a fast one, but we caught Nate.

Brian tried to turn a year older without any of us noticing. No way. And while we may be a couple days late with our wishes, they come with no less love and admiration. We hope you had a wonderful birthday Brian. We love you.
Nate. You're older today. But don't let that get you down. You still look like you're 14! Throw him a big party somebody and bake him a cake! We love you Nate. Have a wonderful birthday!

Can you find the birthday girl?

I had to cut this picture in half to get everybody in so that they were each bigger than a speck. If that doesn't tell you something about the extended Draper family then I don't know what does. Can you find the birthday girl? She's in one of the pictures. And she's gorgeous. That's all I'm going to say. Any guesses? What is she wearing? We hope you have an AMAZING birthday, birthday girl. We love you.

Gorgeous Emily is having a birthday.

Three things:

First: Apologies if I've ever posted this darling shot of Emily celebrating what I would guess to be her FIRST birthday! She's had at least a couple more since this picture was taken.

Second: Have you ever seen a child look so thoughtfully at a cake before? She's all, "Are you serious? That is for ME? There must be a mistake." It is for you Emily, and I bet you look at your cake today with exactly the same look!

Third: We love you Emily. You're an awesome daughter, sister, mother, aunt, niece, wife, friend, cousin, daughter in law, granddaughter! (Did I forget any? I had no idea Emily wore so many hats, but you didn't forget, right Em?)

Kelcie? Is that you?

I must admit I was looking at this picture and thinking to myself, "That's Kelcie right? I think that's Kelcie. It's got to be Kelcie." I guess that's what happens when your creeping up on middle age and you have thousands of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Anyway. If it isn't you Kelcie then just be sure you don't let that imposter blow out your candles! We love you Kelcie. Have a delicious day.

Kynaston Update

Sorry it's been so long... I keep looking at my christmas pics to share but I didn't take very good ones this year. The carving of the flag pole is my favorite. Our family is doing fine. We've had some pretty cold weather this year. The past couple of nights have been in the low single digits.

A-L-E-X-I-S

PLANS FOR TODAY:
Wake up to a big steaming plate of your very favorite breakfast, lovingly prepared by your entire family (including Casper the Prince), served on a tray, in bed, with fresh flowers.
Go to school only to realize that school is closed for the day to normal studies, and today in every class the only thing on the agenda is a PARTY for Lexi. Party during math. Party during english. Party during science. Party during recess. Party during art. Party. Party. Party.
Go directly from school to the McPherson spa where a manicure, pedicure, and facial await you. Relax. Enjoy. Get pampered.
Go home from the spa to find a pile of presents, balloons, a cake with candles, and the entire neighborhood singing Happy Birthday To You, all accompanied by Hannah Montana and her entire band.
Begin to blow out the candles when suddenly you feel a shaking sensation: "Lexi...wake up. Lexi. Today's your birthday and you don't want to be late for school," says your mom. Suddenly you realize it has all been a dream. But, you also realize that whatever happens today it will be a WONDERFUL day because it's your birthday and YOU ARE LOVED.

Kynaston Update

First Day of School (after school) for Jessie and Taylor. We didn't quite catch a picture of them going in because they were so excited for school they made it into the school before I even thought of taking the camera out of the case.

Lexi will enjoy Pre-K as they call it. It's actually her almost 3rd year of preschool. The teachers are happy to have her help in class. She's happy to go and play with friends 3 days a week.

Anyone for a game of Red Rover. This is a frequent sight of our backyard. A gathering place for the neighbor kids. It's good for me because I know what, Where, and who? Aren't those the parenting questions?

My Kansas City Cheifs fans. This one is for Aunt Cole and Uncle Ben. Bri went to a game last week. He brought back the shirts for the kids. Taylor is a true blue fan of the Chiefs, however, I don't believe the girls care one bit:).

Hello to all. Hope all is well.

Emily

Make a wish EMILY.

Our darling Emily is having a birthday today. I think she's 22. Now that it's summer I hope you started your day with a little breakfast in bed, whipped up by Brian and the kidlets. And that only after sleeping in for several hours. And as for the rest of the day? I recommend you enjoy every moment being grateful for another wonderful day (which I know you will). We wish we were close enough to have some cake. Have a fab birthday Emily. We love you tons.

Thanks to my Mom and Sisters for a great week of visitors too.

Everything is fine here. Just been busy. But who isn't busy?

Somebody in this family has GREAT taste in shoes!

Thanks for the haul!!! I love every pair!

Jess. Jess.

Jess. Jess.
I must confess.

I'd love a nice mouthful of cake.

Jess. Jess.
I simply can't lie.

Some presents I do spy.

Jess. Jess.
This day is yours.

Remind your Mom "no chores."

Jess. Jess.
The party is on.

From now until you yawn.

Jess. Jess.
Please close your eyes.

And think of a surprise.

Jess. Jess.
blow the candles out.

You surely can, no doubt.

Jess. Jess.
Have a happy time.

Have a birthday that's sublime.

Jess. Jess.
It's surely true.

Birthday or not we love you!

From the Home of the Kynaston Klan...

The kids participated in an after-school program that included them making thier own fleece hat and gloves. They finished them this morning. We really need them today because it's 27 degrees and very windy! Our cat is nice as can be. Who would of known that I'd like a cat so much. Also, I'm accepting paint color suggestions for anyone interested in helping me decide what color to paint my kitchen. It is currently yellow, which I like, but I'm ready for a color splash (maybe). If you have any ideas, post the color swatches so I can take a look.

Kynaston Update (Brian, Emily, Taylor, Jessie, Lexi and Kelcie)

Hello Denny Family Bloggers-

All is well with us.

Taylor recently participated in a chess tournament. He very excitedly finished fourth place in his class of 27 particpants. He really enjoys chess (and winning).

Jessie and LExi are posing with our family's new edition. "Casper, the Prince" although Lexi says she can call him whatever she wants joined us last Wednesday. He's been a lot of fun and knows where the litter box is so I'm happy.
Kelcie is still singing songs and dancing. She got dressed up a few weeks ago and sat down at the piano to sing.
The white square is what we now have on our bedroom wall because our bathroom shower was broken and we had a plumber come and fix it. Looks nice and blends right in. It used to be all the same color. But who can complain? Our shower doesn't leak now:)
It was nice to see several of you at Josh and Brooke's wedding. I love being a part of this family.
