Andrew and Sarah Wedding Photos #4 and Final

Here are the last photos from Andrew and Sarah's wedding. I'm afraid I'm not that good at group photography. (I need a new lens for this kind of shooting, for sure.) The baby is Jon's sister Beth's new baby. If you want to see the rest of the photos, check out Andrew and Sarah Wedding Photos #1, Andrew and Sarah Wedding Photos #2, and Andrew and Sarah Wedding Photos #3. (I put them in smaller batches so they wouldn't take so long to load.)

Happy Birthday Stachie!

First of all, I'd like to know where the nickname "Stachie" came from, and second I must say that is a really really cool picture. Anyway, I doubt you'll be on an air mattress going down a river in cutoffs today (they're all frozen solid right?) but I do hope you take a little time out from the busy life of a dental lab owner and just CHILL, (followed of course by a slice of cake).
Happy birthday Janet. We love you.

Andrew and Sarah Wedding Photos #3

Here is the third installment of wedding photos. If you missed the earlier ones, check out Andrew and Sarah Wedding Photos #1 and Andrew and Sarah Wedding Photos #2. (By the way, the second photo is Sophie's wedding shoes in case you can't figure it out.)

A Refresher: How to join the blog, add a post, add a photo, and edit a post

With quite a few new contributors coming on board (yippee!) I thought this would be a good time for a blog refresher. This may also help out those of you who are a little intimidated by the process or haven't done it in a while. We hope to be reading posts from all of you soon!

Step One: Request an email invitation by sending me an email. Your invitation will look like the picture above. Click the link in the email. NOTE: you can only use the invitation ONE TIME so if you make a mistake, no worries, just request another invitation.

After you click on the link in your invitation it will take you to the screen above. Here you will either "Create a google account" or if you already have a google account (gmail etc), "Log in by entering your password. NOTE: a Google account is nothing more than an email address that is recognized by Google.

Above you see what the "Create a Google account" screen looks like. Just fill in all the blanks and click "Continue."

Click the link you see above to continue. (I'm showing you all the steps as if you didn't have a Google account.)

That's it! Now you're on the Dashboard of Denny+Connect and ready to post. See the instructions on the photo above.

Above you see just a few instructions for the "Create a Post" screen. I've marked things like where to upload a photo, how to increase the type size, etc. Remember, bigger type is definitely easier for Grandpa and Grandma to read. Heck, it's easier for me to read too! All the type in this post is the "Large" setting.

Above you see the screen for "Uploading a photo." I've marked where you click to upload multiple photos at once. NOTE: I think it's by far the easiest to choose the "Center Photo" option and put the type above and below the photo. Some of you are smarter than I am and have been successful at getting the type to go on the side of your photos, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it well. All the photos in this post were uploaded at 600 pixels wide. It looks like using the large setting for a 600 wide picture makes them about 375 wide once they're uploaded.

If you'd like to add your post to a specific category (which makes it much easier to find again later, especially for posts with photos) I've included that screen above. Just click the "Show all" link and the categories will pop up.

Lastly, DON'T WORRY if you mess up. You can always edit your own posts to fix something, or I can do it as well. I randomly fix things that I come across (in my own posts as well) so don't sweat it.

Have fun. Enjoy. Thanks. And, happy posting!

Andrew and Sarah Wedding Photos #2

Here are the second batch of photos from Andrew and Sarah's wedding. If you missed the first batch, check out Andrew and Sarah Wedding Photos #1.

Guitar Hero

I just had to post this picture of Cooper rocking out to "Hit me with your best shot". He can actually hit a few notes on that song. I love that he's sporting a Denny T-shirt!

Happy Birthday Shaq!

Oooops. That's the wrong Shaq. It's Shaquoia's birthday, and in case you don't know they call her Shaq. Maybe Vida can upload a current picture so we all see how cute you are! Anyway. We hope you have a playful, surprising, delicious, slam dunk of a birthday. We love you Shaquoia.

Ben in St Louis

Dear, family

Everything is going well for me in Webster groves. I have really been enjoying the area and the people are really cool. Also it was fun the other day fixing bikes with my comp Elder Rollins at the mission home. Also we were able to get a bike for my comp because he didn't have one. It is great to be a missionary and I have been enjoying it more and more. Also being a missionary your eyes are really opened and you see how peoples lives are when they don't have the gospel. Also we have some good things that are going to happen that the lord has put in our paths. Teaching at members homes is very common and we have an appointment to teach a 9 year old kid. I know that the lord has really blessed me to have the opportunity to serve in the area I am in. I also gave an investigator (Nick) that we tracted into, a church tour he really enjoyed it.
with love, Elder Ostler

Here is Ben's new address:

7001 Weil Ave Apt 308
St. Louis, MO 63119

Andrew and Sarah Wedding Photos #1

I have quite a few photos from the wedding in Ephraim, and I'll try to post a few every day until I get them all done. I'm posting these without optimizing for the web, so that anyone who wants a photo can just copy it from here. (Let me know if people have trouble loading the blog with file sizes this big.) Some of the photos are ok, but I need a new lens for this type of shooting!

Winter Blues

In order to fight these winter blues and the dang snow that will not go away, I thought I would share some pictures of our winter highlights. Please share yours and perhaps it will get me through until the snow melts. I think I might be able to endure "California winter" pictures. :)

Finding a Cmas tree:

Nice try at a snow hill.
We even went real bowling.

Mason's basketball.
Even Sadie liked sledding.
How many times did ya'll shovel snow?

More Kynaston Pics

Kynaston Update

Here's a LONG update of last week.

We had such a fun visit with Grandma (Mom). We enjoyed hanging out at Cole's and Ben's. We played with their toys and tried a few rounds of Rock Band. We went out to eat at a yummy home cookin' Butter Burger place. We shopped till we dropped (mostly window shopped) at The Nebraska Furniture Mart, Cabelas and Target. Cole had a nice shower. It's hard to believe that she is actually having a baby. Her in laws did a nice job of helping her prepare by getting a load of gifts by throwing her shower. We are looking forward to meeting Bettie Nettie Bibler.:)

We ended up leaving Cole's house earlier than planned due to an incoming ice/snow storm. It's not fun or remotely safe trying to drive in an ice storm. We got home late Saturday evening and enjoyed some competitive Brain Age games. I think that Mom is the champ, but she probably should be since she got to practice on the plane ride over. Sunday was Stake Conference. We made a choice not to drive the hour and 15 minutes, although I'm sure we would of been spiritually fed had we chosen to attend. The down time with the family was fun.

Monday we spent over 2 hours "shopping" in Walmart. We bought a bunch of shirts that look the same. Mom helped me come up with an idea to thank all of the PTO people that have done so much through the year. We came up with..."Thanks for staying sharp and leaving your permanent mark on Eisenhower Elementary" with a Sharpie pen glued to the saying. I'm excited, they turned out well.

One of my favorite parts about the weekend was the long drives with Mom. It really doesn't get any better than alone time talking about stuff that's either important or not. It's just fun to be with her. I'm sure everyone would agree.

We had a wonderful time bonding at the Great Wolf Lodge. Kelcie had never been anywhere like that and had so much fun. She smiled from ear to ear as she bounced from wall to wall. Eating a McDonald's breakfast in our room was one of the highlights along with standing under 10,000 gallons of falling water. Who knew that being knocked to the ground by falling water could be so fun.
