We Are Thanksful for Our Family!

Sorry some of these aren't the greatest photos. Those flourescent lights in the room at Legacy were not getting along too well with my camera flash. I did do some spot editing to try to remove Dad's bruise the best I could. I really need a Speedlite flash for these kinds of things!

Willey Stuff...........

Question: How many diet Cokes does it take to have a sleepover with 4 kids...ages 4-6 years:) Fun cousin time !!
Paige stayed at the other Grandma's with her Mom.....she sure is growing, but not sure about all these strangers.
This is the annual "shop til you drop". We all had a fun time in Park City this past weekend. Some spent more $ than others!

Does Anyone Want an Oak Dining Room Table?

I got a new high table and chairs for my kitchen and would love to give someone in the family my old table if they could use it. Here is the table if you can't remember it. It's oak, stained kind of a medium color. There is also a leaf, which turns the table into an oval shape that can seat 6-8 people. I just had two white chairs with it in my kitchen, but I'm keeping the chairs to use on the covered deck. I think it would look cute with colored chairs to match your kitchen, or white. If anyone can use it, send me an e-mail at kalynskitchen (at) comcast (dot) net.

Here is the new table and chairs, which comes on Wednesday! (I only got 4 chairs, and my chairs are criss-cross in the back instead of just slats like that photo.)

Okinawa Food

So I am doing well in Japan, it's pretty crazy culture but i love it so far. I am learning a lot about my job and about a cool culture. Hope everyone and everything is good back home. Its cooled won her and now is only 75 degrees during the day, with only 70 percent humidity

This is the restroom sign at the beach, crazy how that symbol is a sound not a letter or word

Typical vending machines in Japan. And for those Dew drinkers, no Mtn. Dew does not taste the same, its gross.
Believe it or not this is the first time i ate Jelly fish. It is a funky taste and texture. But hey i had to try it once.

I don't know what this is, but it shows how engulfed you are when you walk around in country you lost as heck in.
Housing is a lot different here. There is tiny houses and no yards, the homes are very close together or on top of each other.

Just a cool picture of what we run every morning.

You Can See Matt's Articles Online

I'm just following up to an e-mail Lisa sent with the link for Okinawa Marine Online, the Marine newspaper where you can see Matt's writing and photos. Click that link to go to the paper, then you have to click an individual issue to open the PDF and see his articles.

Nice job Matt! What a fun way to learn about writing and taking photos!

Pie Night at Legacy

This is for anyone interested...it is at a hard time for most that work, but thought I would pass it on. I know Dad loves pie and may enjoy having a piece with someone..Pam

Free 5x7

We went to the mall the other day and were approached by Kiddie Kandids asking if we wanted a free 5x7. Heath asked, "What's the catch?" There was no catch they were just training new hires. Well, they actually had to take single pictures of all the kids and by the time we got around to the free 5x7 this is what we got. Hilarious!

Matt's Address

Hi everyone,

Here is Matt's "snail-mail" address. The post office is giving a deal on priority mail for military folks, so the price is $2 off and can be as heavy as you want. You do have to fill out a customs form, and they have those at all the post offices. The post office is saying that in order for them to get their packages by Christmas, they should be mailed by mid-November.

Lance Corporal DENNY, Ma
HQSVC BN MCB Camp Butler
(PAO) Unit 35002
FPO. AP 96373-5002

As most of you know, he is also on facebook.

Also, he has many emails, but one he checks often is:

WORLD SERIES GAME 6!!!

Game Six just might end this thing!! Come on over to The Denny Dugout Wed. night and cheer on your favorite team. We don't care, red or blue, we just want to see you. Bring a snack if you want, we'll have Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches or New York Style Pizza, (or maybe just chili dogs from the grill) Let us know so we can plan. I know, its tomorrow, but that's when the game is, and for all you Yankees Fans, it might be the last. All you Phillies fans keep livin the dream...
The game starts at 5:30 but we don't start til about 6:30 or 7:00. I mean, holy crap! the games last four hours!!! And that's without extra innings or rain delays. WOW. Come early, come late, we don't care. Watch the game, play some pool, eat too much, visit with all.

A-Rod? (sorry, this picture of a picture on my screen came out blurry, or does he just swing too fast?

Or Utley? Five homeruns in five World Series Games!! What will he do tomorrow?

Bring your gloves for foul balls!!!
Note: This message is brought to you by, "Take me out to the Ball Park "entertainment and Hanes, the proud makers of "tighty whities" don't leave home without them.

Happy Halloween!

We had a great Halloween and hope you did too!

Happy 1st Birthday Mary Jade Ostler!

Happy 1st Birthday Mary Jade Ostler!

Mary Jade has come so far in just one year, and we don't know where the year went! She went from lying on her back and cooing to taking steps and cruising around the furniture, constantly jabbering and saying her own words, copying everything we do, and picking up new things very quickly. She rolled over, and we could handle that, but then she started crawling, and we thought "How cute! She's so good, but we can still control her!" Now though, she is on the loose and she is a wild and fun girl that we have to watch like crazy, not like she was when she was an infant. She can also make the sound an Elephant makes, wave goodbye, patty cake, dance to music, play peekaboo, and pretty much anything else she wants to do that she watches us do. Her first word was "Cat", although she first called it a "tee-tah", and now we're starting to hear her say things that sound like phrases. She is amazing! Anyway, we could go on and on about her but this post is meant to show you just a teeny tiny bit of her accomplishments and personality in her first year. Wishing a very happy birthday to our miracle daughter, Mary Jade Ostler!

Love,

Andrew and Sara (Daddy and Mommy)
