Leave a Comment Telling What's Your Favorite Photo from the Denny Reunion

What a fun time at Thorne's for the Denny Family reunion. There were a lot of people there, but we also missed a lot of you who weren't able to make it. Hopefully next time!

Please help Kalyn become a better photographer. What's your favorite photo from the reunion, whether you were there or not.

(Remember, taking photos of people, outside, half-sun-half-shade, moving targets, no tripod, is not my specialty! Also with so many photos I had to optimize them a lot, which reduces the photo quality. If you hate your photo tell me and I will take it off.)

Sorry, I don't think I can attempt the names. If someone wants to list them for me, I'll edit.

To Leave a Comment:
1. Click the link that says comment
2. Write your comment in the box. (We give extra credit if you use capital letters, period, and try to spell words right.)
3. If you don't have a blog I.D., click the circle that says "other." This will make a window pop up where you can type in your name. (Or you can comment as anonymous, but in some circles that's regarded as bad blogging manners.)

Memories of Mother

I feel very blessed and lucky to have had such a wonderful mother. I hope she realizes how much we all miss her and appreciate all she did for us.

Who remembers: Cracked Wheat.

I think that's what it's called. It's basically wheat that you soak overnight and then simmer for an hour or so. I remember Mom making it and I LOVED it. Now I make it all the time and think fondly of her. Cracked wheat is everything I look for in a cereal: Chewy. Healthy. All natural. It's actually a little "boingy" in your mouth which is a definate plus for me. And perhaps best of all, when you start the day with cracked wheat you don't have to feel so bad about the fry sauce at the occasional lunch. Anybody out there still go for a nice big bowl of cracked wheat?

Who Remembers McGillacuddys?

This morning while I was out strolling around Venice with Bradley and Dr Love I kept noticing the McGillacuddys along the sidewalk. I'm sure that Valerie and Laurel will remember McGillacuddys. For the rest of you, they're little weed thingys that we used to love to eat as kids. They have kind of a sour taste which seems to have been our favorite taste, considering all the green apricots, apples and rhubarb we used to eat. Next time you're out and about try a McGillacuddy just for old times sake. You do remember them don't you Valerie and Laurel? PS: I'm not sure how they got their name, that's just what we used to call them.

My Wonderful Mother

I love you Mother! What a great example you were and are to me daily. I only wish I could give you a big hug. I visited your grave and left a few flowers there--sorry they were not daisys--but they were left with love and rememberance of all you taught me. This red writing is for the apples you loved so much.
Pam

I love you Mom.

I thought it would be fun for Mother's Day to have everyone (all 100 or so of us) add a baby/kid picture of themselves. Nothing could make a Mother's heart melt more than seeing pictures of all her babies as kids or babies. If you've got a baby/kid picture you can upload this is a great day to share it. I for one can't wait to see them. I love you mom. (And I'm saying that while sucking my lip.)
