The Fountains

Elder Ostler has moved
Dear family,
The new area is great. It is in the country and the people are really nice and my companion is Elder Kirby from Farmington New Mexico. He is great and we have been getting along well. Also we had two baptisms for Chris and Rebecca on Sunday. I t was great to see people enter the waters of Baptism and to see the difference it made in their lives. Also we have a lot of ground to cover and we live out of town with the Lovett family in their sweet home. Also they have a pond where we go fishing on p-day, it is really cool. Today we caught some blue gill and bass. But we ride bikes in town a lot to save more miles, also our district is really cool. And we live by a Nuclear power plant.
The other day when we visited a less active member I found out that some of our ancestors baptized her family from Nephi-- she is going to find out the info and give it to me. On Sunday we had a barbeque with a few families in the ward and we are going to help his son with his car (48 Ford) and talk to his neighbor, who is about to paint his Mustang about the church. Also another less active member is sending Mom something in the mail, so when you get a strange package you don't know about that will be it.
With love, Elder Ostler

Gorgeous Emily is having a birthday.
Three things: First: Apologies if I've ever posted this darling shot of Emily celebrating what I would guess to be her FIRST birthday! She's had at least a couple more since this picture was taken.
Second: Have you ever seen a child look so thoughtfully at a cake before? She's all, "Are you serious? That is for ME? There must be a mistake." It is for you Emily, and I bet you look at your cake today with exactly the same look!
Third: We love you Emily. You're an awesome daughter, sister, mother, aunt, niece, wife, friend, cousin, daughter in law, granddaughter! (Did I forget any? I had no idea Emily wore so many hats, but you didn't forget, right Em?)

Guess Who?
Okay so I am not shy!! I have always loved when Rand posts baby picts of the birthday person. So I thought since he won't have my baby picts I would post my own. Hope no one minds.Yes this picture was taking 24 years ago today!
My mom said that everytime I touched my cake I would hurry and look back at them to see if they would get mad that I was digging in with my hands.
One last picture of myself with my favorite treat. My family went through a lot of M&M's.
I wanted to say how much fun it has been being "Amee Denny #2" or "Amee with 2 e's." I feel so blessed to be apart of such an awesome family. It has been almost 4 years ago that I officially joined the fam but I have loved this family for a lot longer! Anyway thanks.... and I guess, Happy Birthday to me!

Elder Ostler's getting wet
Dear Family,
Terry got baptized on Saturday and it was a very spiritual day. It was really cool because I had the privilege of baptizing him, that was really neat. That was a very touching baptism that I know that I won't ever forget. It was great after we were changing into dry clothes he told me how good he felt and I told him how good I felt. It was also cool because it was fulfilling part of my patriarchal blessing. Also on Sunday he got confirmed and it was even better. He has read the Book of Mormon twice now or almost twice and I am so excited for him.
A while ago we had a cdm and Sister Turley (mission pres. Wife) told us to just take 10 or 15 minutes and just ponder each morning. I have been doing that and it is really nice. It is amazing the inspiration we can receive when we do that. It is great to just enjoy life and to look at all of the things Heavenly Father has blessed us with. Often I think about that I am on a mission and what an honor it is to be on one and a blessing. Also it was cool that one of our hard to contact focus family's came to church. We also had to take our car to the dealership for part of this week because the area we share a car with got rear ended.
That's alright because now we can enjoy the weather even more. The other day me and my comp were ridingto an appointment saving miles and we got in a nasty rain storm. There were even tornado warnings. We were soaked. Everything got wet, even our cell phone. It didn't work for half of the day, but I said a prayer and Iknow that our faith played a big part in. It worked after we dried it out. I really had fun that day I love those times when you get soaked, they are good times I will never forget about. I was just thinking it is just like the world, sometimes we are soaking wet and covered with worldly things. And sometimes we don't know what to do to dry out. We need that 10 or 15 minutes each day to reflect on our life and to get God and church back into our life. Also sometimes we don't put on our rain coat everyday to protect us (reading scriptures and saying our prayers, keeping the commandments). So, if we put on that raincoat everyday and not just on, zipped up, and the hood on. So, just reading the scriptures or just praying, that we will repel the rain that pours down on us with worldly things.
I hope this makes sense because I just thought it up at the library.
with love, Elder Ostler

Denver, Colorado
We thought this was the funniest McDonalds. It is this very drab concrete building with a canopy jutting out from the wall. Plus who doesn't like a good big Mac every once in a while?
Everyone in Denver drives about 10 mph below the speed limit. Yes we were in a 65 mph zone. Maybe it's a rule that we didn't know about!
Of course, we had to try a sushi restaurant. It was fabulous....Chopsticks and Sushi was the name if anyone decides to visit and wants good sushi.
