One day Edgar met Eula. He was crazy about her.
Now look what's happened. There are a million of us.
Well OK, not a million. But a LOT. Never fear, this will help us all keep in touch.

Elder Ostler update
Dear Family,
This week went too fast but it was a really sweet one. On Tuesday we set a date with a lady we are teaching named Ester and had an great first lesson with her. She cried the whole time. We also earlier that day had a fish fry. We caught and fried and battered 13 blue gill, it was good eatin. I know dad would have been in hog heaven. It was also nice to have a LA family at church that hadn't been for 3 years and she was in tears as she left and had a great time. We also had a fellowship party at Sheila's home with some members it was a great time and good fellowshipping. Me and Elder Bowen are getting along fine. As for the work, it has been nice to see lots of people progressing and people who fell away coming back.
With love, Elder Ostler

Prom Night Fairy Tale, WELL ALMOST
This is Utah Power and Light and Layton City replacing a telephone pole because the prince and princess had an 18 hour fun filled day and the prince was tired after dropping the princess off.
About a mile from his home, he could no longer keep his eyes open, and the next thing he knew he had wiped out a specialty ornamental mail box and ran into the pole - going 30 mph. All the prince had time to do was open his eyes, grab on to the steering wheel, and say a prayer while he hit it at full speed. (It happened in front of our friend's home, the family of Julia Barlow.)
We are sorry no pictures were actually taken of the pole, but the people there were all much more worried about important things - like the police questions, the ambulance medic questions, taking the prince to the emergency room, and so on and so forth) The pole created a great visual, hanging only by the wires!
This is the Fairy Godmother's carriage (aka mom) which was only lent for prom because it was a special occasion.
This was the star created by the princes' head that went over the little airbag that deployed. The prince received minor scrapes, bruises and airbag burns, seat belt burns, a concussion,
but no serious injuries!!!!! (The brain did slosh around some, but so far, the prince is still the same prince he was before!)
So next time, you are thinking of driving and you are exhausted,
PLEASE THINK AGAIN, and let the
prince remind you of a lesson:
DO NOT DRIVE!
BUT.....
ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS BUCKLE UP!
IT WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE!

Grandpa Denny's New Address and Phone Number
Just wanted to let you know G'pa Denny's new address and phone #.
Edgar Denny #250
Legacy House of Bountiful
79 E Center
Bountiful, UT 84010
801-383-3142
801-910-4590 CELL; but he has a harder time getting to it, opening it and answering it - though he carries it in his pocket; it's just harder to handle because it's little. Plus, if you leave a message, he might not get it, as he doesn't know how and so one of us has to do it every time and we often forget to look.
In a few days, a technician will come and forward his regular phone # to this one, and Pam will be cancelling the home one.
There is a phone hung up next to his bed, and a phone hung up next to his chair. He also usually carries his cell phone in his pocket, but if you leave a message, he might not get it, as he doesn't know how and so one of us has to do it every time, and we often forget.
He is surprised how comfortable and 'home-like' he is feeling, and he said he is at peace. He has had several neighbors stop by with a "welcome to the neighborhood" and he commented that this place is very much like a community.
We're sure he would love phone calls, letters and cards - especially from the grandchildren and great grandchildren. There are no visiting hours, so family and friends are welcome at all times.
California 2009
Hollywood Boulevard, Santa Monica Pier, Third Street Promenade, and the beach in Carlsbad were some of the places we went to. We, of course, had to make a stop at Pinkberry as well. Cooper loved taking his picture with Batman, but Sophie wouldn't even consider it. "They were all too scary!!"We played at the beach one of the days. I spent another day at the beach while Kara and the kids went to visit her friend Angie. I love the beach!
We walked the canals in Venice which are awesome. There are so many amazing, yet expensive, houses there. Plus a few random pictures of the airplane/car.
The Butterfly Jungle at the Wild Animal Park. This was probably my favorite part. It was this big jungle like thing with butterflies everywhere. They would land on you and just hang out. One of the workers said that they are attracted to the smell of beer and we saw many people with butterflies on their lips. It was pretty awesome!!

Kudos to Amanda

Just had to share --
Amanda and her team (Hilary and Amelia) was awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2009 Toshiba/NSTA Exploravision competition. Each team selects a technology that is present in home, school, and/or the community. They explore what that technology does, how it works, and how, when, and why it was invented. They they predict what that technology could be like 20 years into the future.
Amanda's team project was Binocular Contact Lens and the region they competed in covers 10-12 states, so an Honorable Mention is something to be proud of with that kind of competition!
Congratulations Amanda -- You're Awesome!!

Getting so BIG!

Laynee turns one on Easter this year so we went and had her pictures taken. We are having so much fun with her - she is saying a few words, doing sign language like crazy, and taking a few steps at a time. For her birthday we are having a huge Easter egg hunt & BBQ and we wish all of her family from out of town could come!!
