Wanted to say Happy Birthday to Lisa! We are so grateful to have you in our family.....Hope you had ( yesterday) a wonderful day.

While we are at it ....Happy birthday to Ayesha (29th) and Taylor Howell(30th) We hope you both enjoy your special days.

A moment of silence for the 50 yr. old !!!

Please remove your hats and lower your heads for a moment of silence for 50 glorious years for our dearest Lisa "Lisita" Denny. She truly stole their hearts and hasn't quite broke my wallet yet. Together, her and I will keep working on that for the next 50!! Happy 50th yesterday my love. I just couldn't post this yesterday because we were in total mourning of the event.

Who'd ever believe she is 50? She looks much more like 35 to me. Wow is she gorgeous, or what? And she's just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Thanks Honey. As we reminice, let me show you a few things she likes. As you can see from the sweatshirt she likes Utah State. Go Aggies!!

She really loves her boys. Especially the one in the middle with the white hair that raised all the Denny kids.

She really loves Denny Family Campouts!! Thanks Dad and Mother for starting such a great tradition. May they go on til we're all gone. If never matters with Lisa where or when, most important is with who. And if you ask her, anyone and everyone is invited!!

She really loves her native language and the people of Mexico. Thanks Honey for sharing that with our family. You are truly an example of Christlike, unconditional love. We look forward to many more experiences in the next 50.

She really loves tractors!! But she drives like a maniac so I had to hold on for my life!!

She loves sleeping outdoors, under the stars. Actually in this case, under the rocks. Travis got the top bunk.

She really loves her Dad. Her Mother and her family too, but I couldn't find a picture of all of them. (And she loves mine just about as much. Thanks for that Lis. )

She loves her boys so much she put their name on the back of their shirts so they wouldn't get lost. Great idea!!

She loves the children...all children, anywhere.

Especially those that need a little "extra love" "Come little child and together we'll learn..."

She actually even still loves me. Well, most days anyway. And she makes an awesome Pioneer!

She loves our family every day!! And we all love her more!!

She even loves birthdays, but not so much when its a half of century!! Holy crap!! Please refrain from speaking for another moment of silence. Ok, now speak a little louder, move a little slower, let her sleep a little longer, and loan her your reading glasses and teeth a little more often. And I promise you, she will love you a little more.

Proof of Braces at Age Sixty

Just thought I'd post this so that when I'm 80 I can have proof that I really did have braces on my teeth when I was 60. (Also thanks to Mark for the new photo which is now on the blog, Technorati, Twitter, Facebook, and BlogHer. A big improvement over my old one!)

Loma Linda is a city in San Berndardino County, California.

Grandma Norma

Grandma Norma came to us to help our loving grandfather, she loved us all, was dear to us all, and she opened her heart to us all.  She has been a part of all our lives and has impacted so many others.  What an amzing women.  Thank you grandma Norma.  We Love you

Memories of Norma

We're so happy we got to have her in our family,
even if it was only for a short time.
We love you and will miss you Norma.

The funeral will be Monday, March 16, at the Bountiful Tabernacle on the corner of Main and Center Streets in Bountiful. The viewing is from 11:45-12:45 and the funeral will start at 1:00.

Sadie is 2

We had a nice, low-key celebration here at the Draper house. Sadie is now 2 and such a cutie patutie. She loved opening presents (and her sisters loved playing with her presents) but her favorite part was swimming. Picture below of Sadie, Camrie, Rylie, and Bridger.Happy Sadie's Birthday!

Elder Ostler

Dear Family, feb 23,09

This week it was nice to find a new lady named Puala to teach and we found
out that we both didn't get transfered. It has been some nice weather and Also Sheilah is doing good and getting really close and Also Bill in Jonesboro is awesome and we are planing to go fishing with him one of these p-days. Also a less active member named Rosie we told him about having a calling and he was really happy. I haven't ever seen him happier. We also had a fish fry sunday and cooked a blue gill and a bass and had made potatoes and carrots. It turned out really good, and it was Elder Bowens first time eating Bass and Blue gill he liked it a lot. We helped the Keosters out in Anna tear up tile and carpet in their new office it was tons of fun. I also talked to Terry Janes and he is doing well in St. Louis and he said he has read the Book of Mormon

4 times through now.

WELCOME HOME MARINE!

The 3 brothers are glad to be home, even though they were all freezing after being in sunny San Diego!

Hre's a proud mom and dad with the newly graduated Private First Class Marine, Matthew Denny. He's only been allowed to smile for the last week, so we have to remind him!

Here is Matt with Lisa's Aunt and Uncle that came down from Central California at the LDS Branches luncheon for graduates and families put on by the senior couple missionaries on base. This shows Matt's "portholes" - his glasses he had to wear while shooting, but since his SDI knows he hated them, he had him wear them on graduation day too!

The 3 Denny brothers walking together, having not seen each other for 3 months. But we weren't allowed to hang on to him while he is in uniform. The only "touching while walking" is he could hold his arm out to his mom and she could lightly touch his elbow. Which was fine with him, because he doesn't like to be touched!

This shows Matt really, really close to us (about 8 feet away) after the 4 mile motivational run they do so we can see them and they can see us, but we can't talk to each other. We, of course, were cheering and clapping, and this was one of their tests, to see if they could show no emotion while being able to see and hear us. He did really well, and only after he ran away from us did he break into a big smile, which we didn't see of course. The next time we saw them was about an hour or so later, with them showered and changed and looking handsome for us.

We are so proud of you Matt!

What's next?

On March 17th, he will go to Camp Pendleton for combat training for 3 weeks, then from there he will go to his job training for Combat Correspondent for about 3 months in Maryland. From there he will be assigned to his duty station. We don't know if he will have any leave at that time.

Also, for those of you who live close, please feel free to come by Friday evening, March 6th from 6-9 pm to visit with him!
