Dad's/Grandpa's Luau at Legacy

These are the people and Kelly (taking pic) who went to it. They had some good food and fun entertainment.
Thought it would be fun for all to see Dad at the Luau. We managed to talk him into coming down for dinner.
Dad doesn't look that happy, but I do think he enjoyed it. Several people there enjoyed seeing Dad come out of his room..

Sophie also went up on stage and did the poi balls(don't know the name) for a whole song.....she was so cute, but I didn't get a picture. Heather, post a picture if you have one.

Ps. Kelly and I will be gone Sept. 30-Oct 5....I am sure Grandpa would love company from anyone during this time especially.

Happy Birthday Norma!

Everyone please send extra special birthday wishes to Norma today. Afterall, it isn't every day that you turn 59. I think cake for all three meals is in order, and how about YOU control the remote for the day. Maybe a nice walk around the block with spring flowers popping their heads up to celebrate the day. Of course, no birthday could be complete without a few kitty belly rubs, a few phone calls from the family, and a big hug and kiss from Dad. We love you Norma. We're lucky to have you in the family.

Today is Norma's birthday. I think she's 68. Or it might be 67, I'm not sure. But if you ask me, she doesn't look a day over 60. We hope your day is full of hugs and kitty rubs. We love you Norma.

I have been thinking of Mother today---the 8th anniversary of her passing---and oh how I miss her so much.
She was truly an example of all that is good. I have always wished I could grow up just like her. I have fallen short, but I'm still trying to get better. I love you, Mother.
