Everyone in the Family:
Please bring or send a photo of everyone in your family to go on the posters we are making for Grandpa's "Photo Wall." We would prefer to have individual photos so Grandpa has a huge wall of photos with a picture of everyone in the family, but if you don't have individual photos, just bring or send what you have. Photos printed from the computer are fine for this. If you can't come to the party, please mail your photos to Kalyn (Send an e-mail to kalynskitchen *at* comcast *dot* net if you don't know the address; I don't want to post it here. If needed you can also e-mail me the photos and I will print them for you.)

First Generation Dennys:
Bring a casserole or main dish to share

Second Generation Dennys:
Bring a salad, side dish, chips, or dessert to share

Other Info:
We will provide drinks, plates, silverware etc. Kalyn will order a sheet cake from Costco for the "birthday cake" so we may not need too many other desserts.

Hello Jayce! He was born this morning October 16th at 1:54 am and he looks not too happy about being disturbed in this first picture. If you will notice. that is a size one diaper on him because newborns are already too small! yup a big boy. 10lbs 6 ozs and 22 1/4 inches. Way to go Tori!!! You are quite the woman!

Lehi Cross Country

 Yesterday was the Region Championship for Cross Country.  

 

Kenzie really likes doing cross country but soccer hasn't allowed her to do it as much as she would want.  But she was able to run yesterday and run she did. 

 She took 9th place overall with a time of 18:59 for a 5K.  (She's on the top row - 2nd from the left.) Kenzie convinced some other soccer girls to run and their team ended up taking 3rd place and qualified for State.  (They take the top 4 out of 7 teams and Lehi was not expected to qualify.)

 It was a great day and Kenz had a smile on all day long.  Jackie (her good friend to the left of her in above picture) and Kenz celebrated by taking an ice bath.  :)

Introducing to the Denny Family!

Here he is, he has finally Joined the Stuart and Jessica Denny Family. Although we do not have a name for the little guy, we really, really love him. Weighing in at 7 pounds 3 ounces, 20 1/2 inches tall. Jessica and Baby are doing very good, The names that we are thinking about using are either Korbin Jerry Denny or Crew Jerry Denny. We love both names but are trying to decide what he most looks like. Hopefully we can side on a name soon. Here is a quick photo of my little boy, but the photographer in me will be posting many more photos soon. Thanks to all the family and friends who have given us support.

Pepsi and Josh and Friends

Hi all,

My work needs your help. We are trying to get a $50,000 grant from the Pepsi Refresh Project for "Josh and Friends" kits.

The goal of Josh and Friends is to provide a better understanding of the hospital experience using “Josh kits,” which contain a plush puppy named Josh and the book entitled I’ll be Okay.

The book tells the story of Josh’s stay at the hospital, which teaches children about diagnostic procedures, surgery, and recovery while being affirmed by Josh’s favorite phrase: “I’ll be OK.”

The plush puppy serves an integral role in helping children cope with the stress of a hospital stay. Josh stays with them everywhere they go, serving as a constant reminder that “I’ll be OK.”

Our goal is to raise enough money to provide a Josh kit to every child that is admitted to Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital between ages of 4 and 9.

Birthday Party for Grandpa Denny on November 13?

This year is dad's 85th birthday, so some kind of celebration seems in order. With that in mind, I tentatively reserved the room at Legacy for Saturday, November 13, from 11:00-3:00. (I was thinking 12:00-2:00 for lunch, but just extended the time a bit so we weren't rushed.)

This is not set in stone, so it would be very helpful if people would comment on this post and let me know how that date works for you or if the previous Saturday (Nov. 6) is better. (His birthday is in the middle of the week, so I just picked the Saturday after that.)

The party will probably just be a pot-luck lunch unless someone else has a different idea and wants to organize it.
