fun for all

I'm sure mark or Lisa will post something about this also, but I thought I'd give a heads up, since I don't post much.

Mark and Lisa invited Amy and I to go with them to West Yellowstone for valentines. (amy wanted Cancun, but thought this sounded fun)

We stayed at the Three Bears Lodge. we got there the 13th and rode snowmobiles on the 14th and 15th. we didn't have to look too far to find snow!

Amy and Lisa (and mark and I) visited Dr. Suess Land (two Tops) where all the trees are frosted with crusted snow. it was beautiful.
we saw Buffalo, Elk, and Moose.

On the morning of the 15th, Amy and I woke up smelling gas in our room and reported it to the hotel. we then went riding until about midday. At about 1:30, we came back and smelled gas again. The hotel clerk said they had someone out and fixed a gas leak, but we’d still smell it a little. We went back out riding and came back about 5:30 and really smelled gas. We reported it again and they just said the odor might linger a couple days and asked us if our life insurance was paid and please don't smoke! We said we wanted to move rooms and they moved us across the courtyard from where we were. We almost didn’t move our stuff, just us. But Amy said she felt we should just move everything and so we did. By now it was about 6:15 p.m.

Immediately after moving our stuff, we went to supper until about 7:30 p.m.. When we came out, there were all these fire trucks and we discovered that the gas leak had exploded in a laundry room below and to the side of where our room was and the place was in flames.

The roof is collapsed and our room was just to the right of that where there is no building left. Thankfully Amy listened to the spirit and insisted on moving! Our four snowmobiles were parked in front of the rooms and they each have melted seats, hoods, sides, lights, etc.. Serious Damage to three and a little damage to Mark's green one. The cars parked next to us were completely gutted by the fire! Mark and Lisa’s room and Amy's and My room both had a lot of smoke damage, but no water Damage.
We’ll now start the process of cleaning repairing and replacing everything involved. Quite an exciting weekend. Thankfully no one was seriously hurt, just stuff. If it would have exploded at midnight, things would have been very different. We finally had our stuff recovered and returned by the firemen Saturday night and we headed home Sunday morning.

We had T-shirts made to commemorate the event

Thankfully it occured when a lot of people were out eating dinner or it would have been worse.
We're now back and all is well. The End.

Unbelievable. I'm so thankful you are all OK. Now I'm starting to think all these toys and my two brothers and their wives SCARES me a little. Or even a LOT.
