Welcome Home for Ben

Ben is doing great at home and will be speaking in Sacrament Meeting next week. All are invited to come next Sunday Nov. 15th @ 9:30 Am. After we will be coming to our house to gather and visit and eat. We will have soups and Salads and all are welcome. Please let me know if you are coming if you can.

Jon's resolutions for his birthday: Continue to look like he hasn't aged a bit (even 20 something years later), eat cake FIRST, and be grateful for another wonderful year full of amazing blessings! We love you Jon. Have a wonderful birthday. And happy 2009 to all!

We're so lucky we have EMMA!

Not only is Emma absolutely darling, she's also sweet, thoughtful, kind, happy, playful, loving, funny, energetic, and a GOOD hugger. Yup, we're VERY lucky to have her in the family. Happy Happy Today and EVERYDAY Emma. We love you with a cherry on top!

The Fountains

We had a blast today! First, we met Aunt Kalyn and the Ostler kids at Gateway for an adventure in the fountains. The kids loved the water and every 1/2 hour the fountains were choreographed to music for an extra boost of excitement. Then, we headed back to Aunt Kalyn's house for a BBQ with her friend Susan, Susan's daughters Sophie and Samone and Jake Ostler. The food was amazing and nothing beats a Ball Park (all beef frank) grilled to perfection. The company was great, the food was great, and all in all we had a great time. Thanks Kalyn for everything!

I wonder who is having a birthday?

There are TWO PEOPLE in the photo above who are having birthdays today. I'm not going to tell you who they are, but I will give you a couple of clues: The first mystery birthday person has a first name that rhymes with GREAT, as in: ______ the great! And I must say that is very appropriate considering this person is pretty much GREAT at anything they try doing. And I do mean anything! As for the second mystery birthday person, let's just say this person is wearing thick black shoes and a black tag right this very minute. It's true. And, they may be becoming a Cardinals fan. Not sure. Anyway. Happy birthday to both of you! We love you.

Isn't this a classic picture? It reminds of those shots you see in Life Magazine. You could probably insert Valerie today in the shot, except today she'd likely be tripping over the skateboard that was left in the doorway by one of her kids. Or maybe not, her kids are pretty responsible. Anyway. I LOVE this picture. And I just so happen to LOVE this sister. And I know the rest of you do too. Today is the day to let her know that. Drop off your taxes and then start baking a cake! It's time to wish Valerie a happy happy birthday. I have to recommend that you stay off skateboards today, but definitely don't stay off the celebrating! We love you.
