Snowshoeing

I have found a winter activity that I love - snowshoeing.  I discovered it last year and have been wanting to get back out this winter and we finally did on Saturday.  Our family got snowshoes for Christmas and we got Clayton a pair to join in the fun.

Saturday's adventure was up Little Cottonwood Canyon. We headed out from the White Pine trailhead.  We followed the worn trail for a bit and then decided to venture out on our own and head to a big, snow covered rock.  Fun, I know.

We had some snacks at the rock and did a little sledding where the only one that could make it down the hill was Camrie.  Rylie kept turning around backwards and getting stuck and Clayton and Sadie only made it half way down.

We all hiked back to the parking lot (except Sadie who was pulled in the sled - lucky) and called it a success.

It was such a fabulous afternoon!  The weather was great and the snow was such beautiful sparkly powder.  We'll be back there soon.

Merry Christmas from the D Drapers

We weren't able to get Christmas cards out to everyone, either (way cute picture, Willey's!), but wanted share our latest, too.

Kenzie (15), Camrie (7), Darren (Older), Sadie (4), Rylie (9), Angee (Old), Mason (12)
Note that Cam is usually much happier - not sure why she wanted to hide in this one. That happens. :-)

Merry Christmas!

Draper Update

It's been too long since we've given a Draper update.  Here's what we've been up to in the last couple of months:

Starting preschool,

losing teeth,

playing soccer,

playing vball,

taking a hike,

taking a mini vacation to Brian Head,

celebrating birthdays,

(Cam 7, Ry 9)

running cross country,

taking 1st at region and 2nd at state (5A) in cross country,

going to Bryce Canyon,

and just living day by day.

Oh, and taking lots of pictures.  :)  (Sometimes of cute niece Gracie.)

P.S.  We've been thinking of Cooper and are amazed at his (and his parents) toughness.  Let us know if there is anything we can do...

Draper Soccer

We've started soccer here in the Draper household. Fall season has 4 of the Draper kids playing.

Kenz is on the Lehi High School team, Mason plays for Arsenal, Rylie plays for Strikers, and Cam is getting ready to play her first year of organized soccer on the blue team. Fun, I know. I like to take pictures of all the soccer happenings. Check out these headers:

Capitol Reef - by D

My dad, Mason, Rylie, and I went on an awesome hike in the Upper Muley Twist canyon of Capitol Reef last weekend. There were several arches, a section of narrows, a small waterfall, and an array of beauty to behold - not to mention, an ample supply of great company. While the weather was a little windy, we couldn't complain too much with +80 degree temperatures. I sure enjoyed the time we were able to spend together.(Check out the kids sitting in the cool shade of the arch.)

We Are Thanksful for Our Family!

Sorry some of these aren't the greatest photos. Those flourescent lights in the room at Legacy were not getting along too well with my camera flash. I did do some spot editing to try to remove Dad's bruise the best I could. I really need a Speedlite flash for these kinds of things!
