Hello family,
How are things back at home? well this last week we had another crazy week of weather. On thursday it snowed 10 inches. We built and snow missionary and an igloo. We were going to sleep in the igloo but that night it warmed up and when we came in for the night the roof had already collapased, but we took pictures with us studing in the igloo. The next day the snow was all melted because it was 12 plus.My new sompanion is Elder Jensen, he is from fresno california. There is 8 in his family and he is the baby. He came out with me, so we already had stories in the mtc. we are having a lot of fun and working hard. We have about eight investigators we are working with right now. Teresa has a baptismal date for April 26, she is 9 years old. Her mom is a member, but less active, so we are also working with her. They are from Sudan and speak english and another laugeage that I dont know. We met with them last Thursday and Saturday. We taught teresa the third lesson and we are going to teach her lesson 4, which is on the commandments, on Thursday. We are also working with Robb Rapp. He is married to a member, but she is less active, so we are working with her. Robb is in his 30s and is really busy with school. We met with them yesturday and shared the restoration video and they liked it. Those are just some of the main investigators we are working with. We are also working with five less active families in the ward they are really cool and funny. We also help out this old man in the ward. His name is Brother Laycock and he is 83. We help him go shopping and move stuff in his apartment. He is so funny. I love him so much. He always invites us over for lunch. He lives on 15TH ave and that is right next to the red mile. The red mile, if you dont know, is on 17th ave. It is the road to get to the stadium for the calgary flames (hockey) and during the playoffs that street has red lights for the flames, so everyone calls it the red mile. The road also has a lot of the shops and bars on it, so it is always busy with people. Last night, they played, and it was crazy. We were at brother laycocks picking up our phone (because we left it when we were at lunch). We were driving and there was so many people out watching the game at bars and heading to the game it was crazy. well family it sounds like your have fun and staying busy. I know I am. Hey family,
Im in my new area, and it is a blast. my new address is 215 silver grove way NW calgary, AB, T3B 4M3 and I'm exspecting some letters. we live with the pitchers (members) they are really cool they treat us very well. I'm on a three leg and it's because of an odd number of missionaries in the mission. that kinda stinks, because I sleep on a blow up bed. but it's better then my last bed in golden. My companions are elder pratt from connecticut he is pretty cool. he is the middle kid of 3 boys, he has been out for 9 months. and elder frazee from seattle i love him he is so cool. he is the oldest of 4 kids two bros, and 1 sis, he has been out for 16 months.
It is colder here because of the wind, that stinks. The work here is dead and there is not alot happening, so we are working extra hard.
Mom yes i loved the money t-shirts they are awesome. We haven't found a lot of oppurunities for sevice yet but we are trying.
It is great that nate and sarah are moved in yeah!! church is alot different. since we cover two wards, we had to split up and go to different meetings. well that's it for this week I'm loving this area even though it is cold and not a lot of snow but its going to be fun.

Brayden's still in Calgary

Hey family and others hows it going down south in the warm? well I should say warmer at least. there is no snow here and it has not snowed at all, a couple days with frost on ground but no snow. It was thanksgiving on monday it was yummy. We also had a thanksgiving dinner on last friday, that was good to. well conference was great and yes I stayed awake through it all, weird. I loved Elder Hollands talk the most. everything is great here we picked up two new investigators that's pretty cool. and also harold, (the one from st lucia (Carribbians ), has a baptismal date we are so excited !! it is on October 21. we are working hard and also playing hard. today we are going to the zoo that will be fun in the sun. ok, the sun is not out but it will be fun. mom said you got me 1000 business cards thats a lot, I was thinking of like maybe 200 but thank you I will hand them out like crazy. thanks for the letter from josh I liked it. well you know me short and sweet. love you all so much. love peace and chicken grease. p.s. brayden's letter 10-2-07

Hey family and friends or who ever is reading this. How is the south? getting colder yet? well this week is going great so far. Yesterday we picked up two new investigators, so we are working with them now. tomorrow we have zone conference, and it is always great hearing from president and also other missionaries, plus we get free food it is awesome. I got aunt Lisa's letter it was really cool to hear from them also to know that Travis is going to homecoming that is really cool. Elder Elder is coming down sometime to pick up some music off the computer, I think he will call before he comes. He goes down there a lot, he has family in Kaysville. Everything is going great up here. I'm loving the mission so far, it has been really cool and full of service and testimony building, I love it. Sorry this is short but I have to go. Hey how is everyone down there? I hope having a blast, it sounds like everything is doing great there. Well this last week was awesome we picked up two new investigators, and this week we picked up one so far. The work is really moving along. next week p-day is on tuesday because of zone conference, so everyone write me early. Dad, I was wondering all the missionaries have business cards with there info on it, I was wondering if you could get some for me. with the mission office address on it and also our home address and phone number, with the salt lake temple as the background. So elder Brimhall broke his watch yesterday and he has no, so I was wondering. There is a box of extra watches down in my stuff under the stairs. could you send one for him? but I think that they all need batteries, so you'll need to take care of that before sending one. We can listen to talks everyday, so if you could send up some john Bytheway that would be awesome. President told us that if you plan on sending up packages for Christmas to send them by November 30 so that we get them by Christmas. Thats about it right now. anyway, I love being out here teaching the gospel to everyone. Its a lot of fun. I got to go but I love you all thanks for the letters and the support. Elder Boo Denny

Hey family how the life down there? it is probably still warm there, well here its has been 17-22 degrees C and it feels alot better. right now it is raining pretty hard. well we got a baptism date for amry. it is sept 8 that is really cool. well today is thursday and it is are p day. it would have been yesturday but we have zone conference it was really good. I really liked the testmonies of the other missionaries it was really spiritual. not much is happen but the baptismal date. I love the mission it is really helping me alot. well I got to go so I love you all. love peace and chicken grease. ps why does everyone think I have a new address? I dont it's still the same one.

Braydens first letter

Hello to everyone, welll I made it and all is well. my first comp is elder post, he is from salt lake city, thats in utah if you didn't know that already. I got the canadian money that you sent me thank you. They said that mail takes along time like 7 days but its all good. They also told me is you send any thing send it through regular mail not fedx or anything else cause I will get taxed big time. My first area is calgary north so I am just barely outside the city. How is everything down there they said it gets to -40 degrees thats a little to cold. Any ways my home address is 6103 centre st NW Calgary Alberta T2K0V1 I live in a basement of someones house I have not meet them becuse they are gone for 5 weeks but any ways its weird everything is in metrics so the temp is 24 cel one of the hotties days so far well I love everyone and miss you all I just wanted you to know all my info so I GET ALOT OF LETTERS AND EMAIL well love peace and chicken grease Love Brayden.
