I know a lot of you guys tell your friends about my blog (and thanks for that!)
I have some leftover calendars so I thought I'd offer to send to friends of family members. If you know anyone who might like one, just e-mail me their address. (Or if you want me to just send some to you, just tell me in the comments here.)
xoxo
Kalyn
One day Edgar met Eula. He was crazy about her.
Now look what's happened. There are a million of us.
Well OK, not a million. But a LOT. Never fear, this will help us all keep in touch.

Merry Christmas from the D Drapers
We weren't able to get Christmas cards out to everyone, either (way cute picture, Willey's!), but wanted share our latest, too.
Kenzie (15), Camrie (7), Darren (Older), Sadie (4), Rylie (9), Angee (Old), Mason (12)
Note that Cam is usually much happier - not sure why she wanted to hide in this one. That happens. :-)
Merry Christmas!

Death of Heber Thompson
I was working on the family address labels and using Google to try to find the address for Ralph M. Thompson (anyone have it?) when I found the obituary for Heber Thompson. He died on December 3. I was so sad to think that none of us knew about it, because I certainly would have gone to the funeral. And I can't help but think about how Dad would would have hoped that we would be there to represent him.
Here is the link for his obituary if anyone wants to write a message to the family:

Cross Country
Kenzie loves running cross country and they had a great high school season - taking 2nd at state. In this offseason she has been running with a running club and they just went to South Carolina for the Junior National Cross Country Championships. Kenzie's team took first and are the National Champs. Kenz took 12th overall so she was extra excited.
Crazy enough the week before she was in Walnut, California running at a Foot Locker race and went to the Pacific Ocean. Then they stayed in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina right on the Atlantic Ocean. That is one lucky girl. (Below is her 2 good friends from Lehi. The other half of the team was from Orem High School.)

Matt and Lindy Denny update
The above picture is from Matt's Marine Corps ball, celebrating the Marine Corps Birthday, which sharesw its glorious day with Mark and Edgar. Great day!!!
It has been a while since we have posted anything on here, so i thought it was time for an update.
Matt- I am currently at Navy Medical Center San Diego undergoing treatment for my complex migraines and black outs. The doctors are coming closer to pin pointing an actual diagnosis. But sadly, since I cannot perform my Marine duties, I am in the process of being medically retired from the military. It is a long and complicated process. I will be doing a truckload of appointments trying to get all information down. I was able to go home for Thanksgiving. Sorry if i didnt see ya, it was a short 4 days...But i will be home for christmas so i should be able to see more of you. There is not a lot of details i can share at this time about how long i will be active or when the process will be done. But we are getting closer so thats great news.
LINDY- Recently she was promoted to store Manager at Aldo Shoes in the Gateway, so she is super stressed managing a retail store during holidays. So all you ladies and fancy dressin guys, head down to her store and say hi, she can find ya some good shoes...She is happy that Matt is closer so we get to see each other every few weeks. Alot better than a year apart. She is really sick right now and is sleeping to get better(so if you in the area, take her some soup and fever medicine) In good news, we just bought a new car...it is sweet. a hyundai accent, 12'. i will put a picture below. Other than that things are swell between us. now that we can see eachother alot is good. Those of you who live with your spouse, dont take it fr advantage. And ask me or lindy how bad it sucks wwhen you cant control how much your together. Love and cherish all the time you have together.
Love you all and hope to see some of you this holiday season...

WHAT A DAY-WIND, WIND, WIND, WRECK!!
Thursday afternoon: Kelly driving home from work and a guy ran into him.....going 70+ mph.
The interesting part, Kelly had just slowed to 60 mph because of traffic so the hit was bad, but not as bad as it could have been if he was stopped...
I am so thankful he is ok....a little sore, but not too bad.
Tree down at Jeff and Erin's Bountiful house.
Crazy 80-90 mph Wind....scary. Bountiful estimated there were 1000 trees lost in the city.
Jeff's house has 4 huge pine trees to the east of it. They were lucky that the only one to fall was the one landing between the homes. Any of the other 3 would have landed on the house. Thankful that the renters were not injured.
another shot of Jeff's tree.
So many affected....this was Shane's Dad's shed at the farm. They also lost 4 or 5 very large trees in their yard.
Recognize Grandpa's shed.....it now lays on the far west grow box area. The corner of cement that you can see is where it used to be.
It is history.....
Across the street neighbors sycamore....a shambles. Missed their cars, but I don't know how.
We had about 6 or 7 very large trees on our street fall down...Sad, many were originals to the street and 60-80 feet tall.
Our street looks bare in places.
Everyone is safe...so that is GREAT!

Draper Thanksgiving
Here's to you Aly! :) The Draper family ALL got to be together on Thanksgiving this year. It really was neat to have everyone gathered around the table(s) and it's fun to watch the cousins play like we all did when we were little. We had amazing food and lots of fun! This is the only picture I have to post since I didn't use my camera- but I know there are more Draper Thanksgiving photos out there- so maybe you'll see them. :) This picture was courtesy of either of our photographers, Aunt Kalyn or Brandon.

Thanksgiving Pictures
I feel like people should post pictures of their Thanksgivings so we can all see. I would post some of ours, but apparently we didn't take any. The Willey kids (except Jeff, Erin, and the girls) all went over to my parents house and enjoyed a fabulous dinner. We missed having Jeff, Erin, Morgan, Lauren, Paige, and Reagan with us!

McClelland Gang Update
We've had a lot of sick days around these parts and I mean A LOT! So, we've been getting creative at home with things to do.
We made pasta necklaces which Jonathan wore everyday until all the pasta was broken (at least 2 weeks). |
We had robot day where we dressed up as robots and even watched the movie Robots. |
Henry is just cute and getting so big. He's already starting to outgrow his 12 month clothes - he isn't even 5 months yet! |
Sick time = a lot of pillow time. |
There's no shortage of cuteness around here - thank goodness. Sometimes those smiles are my saving grace. |

Most of you may know, but wanted to update on Cooper. He was diagnosed 12 days ago with type 1 diabetes. It has been a challenge for him and his family, but thanks to prayers in their behalf, Cooper is now doing well. He is adjusting to 5-8 shots per day and accounting for everything that goes in his mouth. I think that alone would be a challenge for most of us!! Insulin is supposed to be given in the fat, so you can imagine how hard that is with Cooper, who has NO fat. His BS numbers continue to get better and with that he also will continue to feel better. This new way of life will continue to get easier as they all become very familiar with all that Cooper needs to do with this not so fun disease.
We appreciate all the prayers for Cooper and his family during the past couple of weeks. Love you ALL
He was glad to have his Dad help him be brave. |
Cooper just gave his Mom a shot in her arm...... |
You can see by the 3rd day in the hospital...he was returning to normal!! |

Reagan's Blessing
Reagan was blessed on October 19. Sorry that I don't have better pictures.
I did not get one of the family.

She is not all that happy in some of these....but her father gave her a beautiful blessing. So glad they were able to come to Bountiful for a few days and all of us were able to be to the blessing.
WE LOVE YOU, REAGAN!!

Draper Update
It's been too long since we've given a Draper update. Here's what we've been up to in the last couple of months:
Starting preschool,
losing teeth,
playing soccer,
playing vball,
taking a hike,
taking a mini vacation to Brian Head,
celebrating birthdays,
(Cam 7, Ry 9)
running cross country,
taking 1st at region and 2nd at state (5A) in cross country,
going to Bryce Canyon,
and just living day by day.
Oh, and taking lots of pictures. :) (Sometimes of cute niece Gracie.)
P.S. We've been thinking of Cooper and are amazed at his (and his parents) toughness. Let us know if there is anything we can do...
