This happened on July 1, 2010. I tripped on the sidewalk during a fast walk--I was with Alyson. Thanks Aly for all your help. i fell flat out, straight down , my hand took the brunt of the fall.

The momentum sent my hand rolling & the fingers bent back--it popped two open & broke one. 11 stitches. i have other bruises and road rash, but am lucky as it could have been worse.

I will be grateful when I will have two hands back.

ps. the good news after ortho dr. visit: 3 small, but stable fractures. Immediate physical therapy. no surgery for fractures. Bad news: partial or completely torn ligaments in my hand---re-eval in 3 weeks.

Matt is having MULTIPLE CHILDREN!!!

Well, I knew that would get everybody's attention, so first I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend- some of us enjoying the 3 days of celebration we got this year in Utah! It was great!
It gave me lots of time to reflect on the sacrifices many have made in my behalf. And of course it always makes me so proud of Matt and what he is doing! So we had a great phone visit with him last night and all was great - then bam, we are out of connection with him - none of us can reach him.

Turns out he was busy trying to give birth to multiple kidney stones!!! As many of you can agree - they are extremely painful and they knock you to your knees. Well, he was talking with all of us on the computer and was sitting on the couch when he started hurting really bad. The sharp pain threw him to the floor, but he was able to crawl to the bathroom, before he threw up 4 times. Then he crawled to his phone and called a friend. Pretty soon, he was on his way to the hospital. (Matt freaking out in pain is not a fun picture! "Nurse, could you please hurry and give him something to calm down!")

After some good ol' morphine and other liquids, he was calm enough and had a CT scan and found MULTIPLE stones. Thankfully they caught them in the early stages and so good drugs will be his friend. But in the next few days keep him in your prayers so that as he has these 5-6 children, he will remember what all us moms go through to bring them to earth. All his females bosses there were just reminding him that so he could have sympathy for Lindy later on down the road!

He's still going through some pain - but doing much better. He is on bedrest now, and from what I hear, pretty bored and can't sleep, so if you get a phone call from him, he's just reaching out and spreading his love. In the last 12 hours, I've heard of 5 people he's called - isn't that great of him though! Down and in pain, but using this time to still spread love to family and friends!

We love you Matt, and if they ever give you the stones, I dibs naming them! Rest, drink lots of liquids and call lots of us!
