Hi everyone - with all the things going on in the family this week, this gathering at our house Monday evening is going to be really casual and easy. It's at 6:30 ish.
We'll have stuff cooking on the bbq and whatever else others bring, we'll eat. It's so neat to see "the second generation" bring the "third generation" and watch them play together. Its the CIRCLE OF LIFE- and that's what brings us together in this crazy world full of adversity and pain. So all - COME!!!
PS.... no pool, no pony rides..just a very casual gathering! But we hear it's been really, really hot, so there might be some water games! So have the little ones (and the big ones who are still young at heart) bring their swimsuits and/or a change of clothes. IDK, maybe like pool softball, water balloon volleyball, or whatever I have time and energy to come up with.
If you have fun water toys - bring them. If you have empty 2-L plastic soda pop bottles, bring those as well.
xoxoxo The Mark Dennys....
who at the current time includes: Matt & Lindy, Travis & Becky, Justin, Lisa & Mark, as well as Nacho!
One day Edgar met Eula. He was crazy about her.
Now look what's happened. There are a million of us.
Well OK, not a million. But a LOT. Never fear, this will help us all keep in touch.

Tavyn Neal Denny
I cannot seem to sleep, and thought I'd Share our sad News :(
On June 26, 2010, at 10:35 a.m. Tavyn Neal Denny was delivered, stillborn. For those who don't know what's been going on, I'll recap. Almost two weeks ago Kaylie developed a hole in the sack that contained the baby and she started leaking fluid. After several days in the hospital, the baby still had a strong heartbeat and was doing well. At 20 weeks, they sent her home on strict bedrest in hopes of making it to 24 weeks, at which time she would be re-admitted into the hospital and hopefully the baby would survive until 34 weeks and they would deliver him then.
Thursday, Kaylie started having severe contractions, but the hospital could not stop them and then today Tavyn moved into the birthcanal and was delivered stillborn.
He was 11" long and weighed 1.1 pounds. He was a beautiful boy, with Kaylies nose and Brayden's long feet. We spent most of the day at the hospital with Braydn, Kaylie and Tavyn, until everyone had the opportunity to meet, hold, then say goodbye to him. Although his sprirt has been Temporarally seperated from his body and his family, he is loved by all of us who got to hold him. We now cling to our faith in the plan of salvation and look forward to the day we can be re-united with him. We're confident the Grandma Eula Denny is taking good care of him for now. Brayden and Kaylie are doing as well as can be expected, but would love to have you keep them in your prayers. We'll be having a graveside service for Tavyn's burial sometime next week.
As always, Thank you all for your love and support,
Dave

Ruth Ann Denny Thorne 1943 ~ 2010 SYRACUSE, UTAH - Ruth Ann Denny Thorne, 67, passed from this life on Saturday, June 19, 2010, after a valiant eight year battle with cancer. She returned home surrounded by her loving husband and children. Ruth was born March 15, 1943 in Salt Lake City to Albert and Anna Denny. Being the youngest and only girl, she was adored by her parents and brothers. She graduated from Davis High School class of 1961 and was always proud to be a Dart. Ruth met the love of her life while attending BYU. Lynn and Ruth were married May 25, 1962 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they shared 48 years of love, children, traveling and serving in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. While raising a family of seven, Ruth obtained both her Bachelor's and Master's degree in education. She loved her years as a third grade teacher and counselor. Ruth loved music. She served faithfully as a ward and stake organist for 54 years. She also experienced great fulfillment in helping others find their love for music by teaching piano and organ lessons for many years. Ruth also served in the Relief Society, Primary and Young Women's Presidencies, was a committed visiting teacher and helped many young men achieve their Eagle in the scouting program. Lynn and Ruth served a full-time mission in Alabama and went on to serve three missions in the Church History Center in Salt Lake City. Ruth enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting and family camping trips to Marsh Lake. Her family and the Gospel of Jesus Christ were the most important things in her life. Ruth taught her children to do for themselves and to continually be looking to do for others. Ruth bore her deep testimony of the Savior through her actions right up until the end of her life. Fun Times with Cali Kids
We had so much fun with Jeff, Erin and the girls when we visited last week.

Finally a new family photo---cute don't you think. (I didn't do so good with the lighting)
Grandma's sweet 6 year olds....they say they are ready for first grade.
Look how strong they are.
Paige is growing up---and her sisters smother her with love. We smothered her with love and kisses while we were there, too.
Had a hard time getting the 3 girls to pose together...this is it :)
Must have been a bug on the sidewalk !!
Ruth Ann's Funeral
I just got off the phone with Lynn and got more information about Aunt Ruth Ann's Funeral. Although the information is not complete, I thought all would like to know what I found out. The Obituary will be coming out in the paper tomorrow with more concrete information, but he did know that there will be a viewing on friday evening at the Lindquist mortuary at about 1900 north fairfield in layton (he did not know the times for sure)
The funeral will be Saturday at 11:30 at the white church behind their house (that's all he knew, but I looked on google and there's a chapel at about 1625 south 1100 west that is kinda behind their house.)
I'll give more information as the obituary comes out.
Love Ya all, Dave
we can make room for some out of towners if needed.

Aunt Ruth Ann

Though everyone is grateful her suffering is over, she will be extremely missed by all. She truly was a great, loving person and I agree with her children that she was a fantastic Mother & wife.
Dad will also miss her terribly. He has not seen a lot of her this past
year, but we were able to take him to see her about 3 weeks ago. They had a wonderful visit and more or less said goodbye at that time. They both knew it was likely the last time they would see each other on this earth. It was a very touching visit and very emotional for us as we (Tammy, Kelly & I) watched them say goodbye to each other.
I was just told by Lynn's brother, Larry, that the funeral was going
to be on Saturday. I have not talked to Lynn about this, but will post the
info when I find out all the times.
To Ruth Ann: Well done thou good and faithful servant...We all love you.

Andrea and Kent are coming!
HI everyone,
Some of you know that Janet is having a 'mini' reunion at her new beautiful house with her children coming in and staying and visiting a while! Well after they leave Wild-oming, they want to come to ZION (Utah) and visit family and friends. So Andrea thought it would be easier to try to make a date and place and people come here to see them, rather than them try to stop and see all of you. So here's the plan, and we apologize for it being so close to the father's day bbq, as we know many of you are coming to that.
Andrea and Eddie and kids arrive in the Layton area Sunday, the 27th in the evening to Mark and Lisa's house. Kent and Tori and kids arrive around the same time, but to her mom's house is south salt lake. (Sorry Tori, I call everything south of the temple- south salt lake)
So on Monday night, June 28th at 6:30 pm-ish, we are gathering here at the Mark Denny house (1512 W Gentile in Layton). It will be very simple - so bring something you want to share (but not if you are an out of towner - let us in towners do more) and we will figure something to do.
Andrea and Kent LOVE their aunts and uncles, but they were hoping for the second and third generation to really come full force! So come one, come all!
Free tractor rides for all! Maybe I could validate a coupon I have and arrange for free pony rides too! Any takers?
Or if its warm enough (yeah right), I could arrange from another neighbor for a pool party for us in his backyard!
I will let you know - most likely through texting. So you texters.... text away to me!
LOVE YOU ALL!
Lisa and family
PS. We will be "incomunicado" from early Sunday the 20th until Sunday night the 28th. Then Andrea and Eddie will be here when we get back. Then Monday morning, we are getting our foreign exchange student from Spain that will be with us for a month! Many of you will meet him at the reunion at Lava. His name is Nacho, and he is 17.
Anyway - hope to see you soon!

Thoughts and Prayers for Brayden & Kaylie
Yesterday morning Kaylie was admitted into the hospital with Brayden by her side, they have discovered a hole in the Amniotic Sac, which is causing complications with the pregnancy. Part of the problem is the leaking Amniotic fluid which assists with developing the baby, the other problem is that the baby boys arm (as of now) is poking through this hole. This can cause many birth defects if it continues to stay outside the sac. As of right now the baby has a very strong heart beat and mom and dad are very positive and hopes are high. We would ask that any who would feel inclined to help. Please Please say a prayer, fast, think positive and hope for the best with us in this time of need. Any type of support, I know they would be grateful.
Thanks,
Dave Denny Family

A Beautiful Day...
Just wanted to share a few photos from Elizabeth and Kirk's wedding. It was a beautiful day. Much thanks to all who have sent love and greetings. A Huge thank you to Amy and Valerie who joined us in Oklahoma City for the sealing as well as the Kynaston's who were at the reception.
Elizabeth and Kirk will be back and forth between Bartlesville and Cape Girardeau, Missouri for a few weeks as Elizabeth finishes up a class she is taking here and then they will be in Cape Girardeau for the next year as Elizabeth completes a medical technology program and Kirk completes one more year of school as well.
Much love to all.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT!
I love you and miss you so much, but know you are in good hands and people are caring for you and loving you - maybe not like your momma, but they are there for you!
I hope you had a wonderful day and you were a little spoiled! Be good, my son. Remember who you are. No regrets.

family Campout
Here's an update since the last one is several posts ago.
This is what I have for trailer sites. (they are all the same with electricity, but no water, we'll have to bring some containers to re-fill )
Back to trailer sites-
Sandee thurs, fri, sat
Heather? I didn't see a response from them, but i think i remember that they have one if
Pam wed,thurs,fri,sat
Shane fri,sat
Mark wed,thurs,fri,sat
Dave wed,thurs,fri,sat
Rand? wed,thurs,fri,sat?
It looks like possible 7 trailer sites, I reserved 5, but cal easily up.
Then it looks like several tent spaces, those are easy, just plop them down most anywhere.
I havent heard from others, but will adjust if word comes in.
