One day Edgar met Eula. He was crazy about her.
Now look what's happened. There are a million of us.
Well OK, not a million. But a LOT. Never fear, this will help us all keep in touch.

Happy Birthday Sara Ostler!
Sara Lucinda Ostler had a birthday yesterday! The S stands for Sweet, as she is this way every day
The L stands for Loving, as anyone who knows her will say
The O stands for Outstanding, what she can accomplish in one day!
We love you Sara, you are beautiful, and don't let one more year get you down! It's only a number, and you're only as old as you feel!

Our Christmas Morning View
This is the view of Hannah and I going downhill at Soldier Hollow on Christmas morning. Bradley and Gunther were in the other lane and Dr. Love was snuggled under blankets at the Homestead. We had an amazing holiday up in the winter wonderland. I've just about decided that I really need a little cabin somewhere in the mountains in Utah. It's gorgeous. After sledding we warmed up in the Homestead Crater, swimming. We hope all of you had a wonderful holiday.

25th Anniversary Surprise

Carl is such a gem. I wanted to share the surprise he gave me for our 25th anniversary. He had our neighbor make this cake and gave it to me along with 25 white roses. What a sweetheart. Just the forethought it took to pull it off is impressive if you ask me!!
We have decided to try for another 25 years.
Thanks Carleton -- I love you sweetie.

Send Me Your Addresses!!
I sent this by e-mail to the first generation Dennys but haven't heard from some of you. I'm trying to compile a list of mailing addresses of everyone in the family to include with my Christmas cards. If you have kids who have gotten married or moved during the year, will you please e-mail their addresses to me so I can include them on this. (I'd like to make it a yearly tradition of updating the address list.)
Thanks!
Thanks!

Sub for Santa Project for Wendy - Anyone Who'd Like To Is Invited to Help This is canceled
Apparently someone at Legacy told the director about our plans, and he called and told Pam he does not want our family to do anything for Wendy. We are sad about it, but we don't want to get her in trouble, so we're canceling the Sub for Santa. If you were planning to participate, I hope you can find someone else who needs help.
Those of you who live close enough to visit Dad regularly probably know Wendy. She's the young girl from Peru who takes such loving care of dad, and often kisses him on the cheek when she leaves.
A few weeks ago some of us had the idea of doing a sub for Santa project for Wendy. She is 21 and is a single parent with a baby boy (size 2 or 3) and a five year old girl (size 7). She also lives with her unemployed mother and a brother about 12 years old.
We aren't able to get too much information about the family because Legacy has a policy of not letting the employees accept anything from residents, so this has to be A COMPLETE SECRET FROM EVERYONE AT LEGACY. When you're visiting, please be very careful not to let Dad or anyone else know we are doing this.
We would like to deliver the stuff to Wendy's house on Saturday, December 19, so she could use gift cards or money that was donated to buy things her family would like. An un-named person is going to find out Wendy's address for me, and we will arrange to have someone who's not part of the family deliver the things so Wendy can't guess who they come from.

Kynaston December fun
Girl, snowman, girl, snowman, girl, 1/2 of snowman...wow I'm a good photographer!
The snowmen are modeling all of the very long scarves I made the girls last Christmas...I think this is the most that they will ever be worn since they can be wrapped around any young girls neck about 60 times. Bonus: VERY WARM.
Lexi is determined to NOT show her teeth...she just got PHASE I braces. She is so lucky to be 7 and have a Dad that wants to practice what he is learning at his continuing ed courses.
Our gingerbread house creation...Karen Julian gave us all the stuff to make this lovely creation. The girls had so much fun decorating the yard and roof.
Our poor little snow men have NO mouths. I guess they won't be joining
us in singing Frosty the Snowman.
