Taylor is Two!

Once again it's me filling in on birthday wishes, and if I'm calculating it correctly, Taylor must be turning two years old today! This is her photo from last birthday, and we need a new picture of her to celebrate the day this year, wouldn't you say? Maybe Garrett and Jane can help us out with that. Meanwhile, let's wish Taylor a fantastic birthday with lots of love!

(Even with this bad photo which is a copy of a copy, you can tell she's a cutie!)

Happy Birthday Jake and Ayesha

Since Rand is out of town with no internet connection, that leaves me to help out with the birthday wishes. I'm not as creative as Rand is with the birthday posts, but I do hope that

Ayesha

and Jake

are both having a really, really, really, really great birthday! We love you both!

No Go :(

I just wanted to thank everyone who voted for Cooper and sent emails, blogs, etc. for the Kiddieokee contest. Unfortunately he didn't win. Oh well, it was worth a shot.

This is the little girl in his category who won. I guess she's kinda cute. (bitter) Ok - i'm over it - she's really cute with her actions. Here she is:

Wasn't this a HAPPY DAY!

I dug back a few years for this picture of a VERY happy day in our family: The day LISA became a part of it. And just to show Lisa how glad we are that she's ours, why don't we throw her a party today. Let's make her a cake, blow up some balloons, wrap some presents, and sing her songs. Oh, and let's also wish her a very very happy birthday! We love you Lisa!

The Skinny Fad Has Gone Way Too Far!!!

For those of you who don't check out my blog, I didn't want you to miss out on this photo. I found it on a radio website. This lady had ribs taken out so she could have a skinnier waist! Who would have thought? I know Dolly Parton had it done, but she didn't look anything like this! Wow!

Liz and James -- A few sketchy details

Now that Liz is officially not a teenager (yes, she turned 20 yesterday), she has given me the green light to officially post the news. She has been planning to get a good picture before posting, but life is just too crazy and school too busy for that to be much of a priority.

Liz and James Shurtleff were recently engaged to be married. They are in engaged bliss most of the time.... They will be married in the Boise Temple on August 1st and there will be a reception in Oklahoma on August 8th.

They met at BYU-I and have been dating for about a year. They work together in the writing center, which is where they met. They have been secretly breaking the "no dating rule among co-workers" and apparently navigated it successfully!

We are excited for them and are looking forward to having Liz home for one last summer before the wedding.

Much love,

The Stouffers

P.S. Rand -- Liz does not have a blog login, so will you please send her an invite so she can read the comments. Her email address is greysunsawait@gmail.com

FIRST CAMPING OF THE YEAR!!

Kelly and I took our first trailer trip. We went to Palisades State Park.

There was a lot of snow on the mountains around us, but none in the park or on the golf course. We had a lot of fun golfing and relaxing.
We visited and shared a meal with Ostlers---we enjoyed that.
I had another picture, but have back spaced it away twice, so this will have to do.
Our interesting first meal was enjoyed with corn skewers!! We found when we got there that we didn't have any forks. It was interesting eating the salad with them---it was a first for us.
[ps. we had about 100 spoons and knives--go figure]

Well look who's getting older.

Ahhhhh. Look at her. And while she doesn't quite look like this anymore she is equally gorgeous! Besides that, I believe she has some news for all of us. Isn't a little sharing in order? That and a pizza bomb with a candle in it. Happy birthday Elizabeth. We love you.

Ellen

The other day I had the Ellen show on while I was folding laundry and Thomas was playing on the floor. Well, I left the room to put some laundry in the dryer and I heard definite baby laughter coming from the other room. When I went to see what the big joke was, Thomas was sitting in the middle of the floor watching Ellen and laughing really hard. It was so funny I had to get it on video. Just thought some of you might get a kick out of this. :)

(In case you're wondering...I did send this to Ellen so we'll see what happens!)

Cooper Kiddieokee!!!

Hi family. I need everyone's help in voting for Cooper. He is entered in a radio station kiddieokee (karaoke) contest. He is entry #4 - singing "Hey There Delilah" by the Plain White Tees - in the 2-4 year old group. You can only vote once per Computer (ip address). They track it by email. Please tell everyone you know to vote too. The winner gets a trip for 4 to Disneyland! Cooper has already been played on the radio a couple times so it's been really fun! Please click here to vote: http://www.971zht.com/pages/kiddieokee/vote-2-4.html

Thank you!!!!!

Kelcie? Is that you?

I must admit I was looking at this picture and thinking to myself, "That's Kelcie right? I think that's Kelcie. It's got to be Kelcie." I guess that's what happens when your creeping up on middle age and you have thousands of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Anyway. If it isn't you Kelcie then just be sure you don't let that imposter blow out your candles! We love you Kelcie. Have a delicious day.

World's Best Mother!!

Today I am thinking of how I've missed my Mother for 10 long years now.
She was kind, patient, long suffering, humble, forgiving, beautiful, honest, without guile, etc., etc. She loved me and everyone unconditionally. To her everyone was a "good little dancer" no matter what their faults were.

I really miss you Mother, I wish I could talk with you just for a while--we would have a lot to share.
Love,
Pamela

Elder Boo Denny (Brayden)

hey family,
So your finally finishing the basement? It would be fine with me if you just finish it before i get home. My new address is 3120 4Astreet NW calgary, AB T2M 4A3, so you all can write me and send packages. It is warmer here now, there is not a lot of snow on the ground, but just were that shadows are. Its stus b-day today huh? Hey, dont worry stu I didn't forget. so this is a good area, but not much happening. We tract at least two hours a day. It's not real fun, but if this area is going to start doing something that's the best thing for it. Elder Roach is from Provo and he has been out for 17 months, and he is the district leader. We are currently working with Janet and she has a baptismal date for the 15th of march. She is still struglling with the word of wisdom, so if you can pray for her that would be great. So Aaron's finally Finished with his basement, that is awesome. Now i can move in with them when i get home. jk Thanks for all the emails that i got this week! I love getting stuff from home. Everything is great here. Im loving my mission. and I love you all. Thanks for the support.
Love, Elder Denny, aka boo

ST. GEORGE HOME SHOW

We enjoyed our time last week seeing the St. George home show. The weather was ok----not quite warm enough for me, but not too much rain. Car problems caused us to miss our only tee time, so we were sad to miss out on golfing this year.
Now for a short tour....

Clayton's personal favorite--the cave. One of the homes had a built in cave, it looked just like a cave except the bed, chairs, and things in the alcoves.

This is where the cave ended!! Nice hot tub, huh!! To the left you could swim through a waterfall and be in the outdoor pool.

Unique pool

Unique cupboards [same house as the pool]. How would you like everything in your cupboards and refrigerater to show!

This was in the laundry room of a home with 21,000 sq. ft. No that is not a typo. It also included...
a bowling alley--2 lanes

20 or so pinball machines, and many more things

This was a cool train--the tracks went around the whole room on the ceiling.
One of the homes--

Cool idea. I loved the bead board with some on top and some below, they painted just wall on the sides.
Best new idea! These are spice racks that pull out on either side of the stove. When they are in they just look like decorative wood.

All of the homes have nice pools. This was the largest pool.
This is the 21,000 sq ft home.

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of our favorite house. I left the camera in the car.

Fun to see them, but not reasonable to live in!!

Elder Ostler

Feb. 25, 2008

Dear Family,

I am really enjoying my new area and it is cool to be right in the city. Me and my new comp Elder Rollins have been getting along well. The other day we taught a referral from the office a first lesson and set a baptismal date. He really wants to get back to church and make a change in his life. It is cool because he lives really close to our apt. The apt is nice and it is pretty big. We also are on the top floor and we have a balcony which is fun to go out on. The lord has blessed me and my comp a lot in this area. I am glad to be here and serving the lord. We have about everything you need and more in our area. The ward is younger families, mostly medical students.
with love, Elder Ostler
