One day Edgar met Eula. He was crazy about her.
Now look what's happened. There are a million of us.
Well OK, not a million. But a LOT. Never fear, this will help us all keep in touch.

Celebrity Baby Blog
Kara:
Remember how on your meme you said you visit the celebrity baby blog everyday......well, you are in luck!!! You actually probably know this because you probably already visited the site today, but they are looking for interns. Think of all the celebrity gossip you could come across if you were an actual intern. Kurt would have a heart attack if you quit, but how can you pass up celebrity baby blog intern????
And if anyone else is looking for an internship that would get them involved with celebrities....here you go!

Family Wedding
Hi everyone,
One of Aunt Rosie's grandsons, (Wes and Gay's boy) Tyler Grose is getting married this week. I will buy a family wedding gift. Call me or respond to this blog if you are interested by Thursday noon! I will buy a gift at Bed, Bath and Beyond that afternoon and go to the reception. About $10-15 is plenty; you can mail the money later or pay me when you see me. Let me know the amount you are interested in so I know how much to play with.
If anyone local wants to go, let me know and we can go together. Dave, Amy and Mark are out of town all week.
Love, Lisa

Sing the following in your best voice:
Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday to you.
Happy, Happy, Happy Birthday to you.
You look good.
(echo) You look good.
You look fine.

We hope you have a great time!
I thought a family sing along was
appropriate for Janet's birthday.
We love you Janet and hope you
have a splendid day.

Does Sophie Look like a boy?
Cooper Will do anything for a "Coke"!
Yesterday at Target (my home away from home) 3 different people thought Sophie was a boy at first. I guess having no bow on and wearing a blue shirt with suede pants didn't help. I thought the pink blanket would give it away. Oh well, hopefully she grows hair soon!
The picture with the Grandkids was taken on Saturday. What a bunch!

Sibling fighting?
Did somebody try to sneak and have a birthday?
I think one of my darling neices tried to sneak by without me realizing it was her birthday. And since I'm out of town in San Diego I didn't get my reminder email. If this is true, then will somebody please tell Olivia Happy happy birthday and then send her through the spanking machine for me? Oh yes, and bake her a giant cake (let her choose the kind) and then let her stay up all night and watch cartoons. We love you Olivia. Happy Birthday yesterday.

Sundance & Snow

A few of the Willeys enjoyed the snow and Park City for the annual Sundance Film Festival visit. We don' t go for the films, but for the fanfare. We did not see any celebrities this year--they were smart enough to stay out of the snow. We did enjoy the usual carmel apple, though and had fun walking up and down Park City's main street. It is much different from the times I spent there with Mom and Dad and siblings on the fourth of July!!
GRILLED CHEESE!!

I was reading Kalyn's Kitchen --and enjoyed the saga of the cheese sandwich. After reading it, I just had to go have one for breakfast! Kalyn is really a fabulous writer---that Pete somebody doesn't know what he is talking about!

Andrew's letter
>Dear Family,>>First of all, thank you so much for the Valentine's day package! My>companion also enjoyed the valentines he got from all of the kids. We have both enjoyed all of the candy as well.>Also, contrary to what we both thought, neither of us were transferred. President Francis said that Elder Skifton will be leaving Olean after this transfer, which means that I will probably be here for three more months (two more transfers). We did get a new sister though for the Bradford, PA area, Sister Gomez. I haven't met her yet, but I'm sure she will help out this area.>One of our best investigators right now, Maria Welka, is doing very well. She is reading a few chapters out of the Book of Mormon every day! She only used to pray once a day, but now prays about questions she has about the Book of Mormon, and can definitely see a change in her life. She has lots of questions, because she really wants to understand this gospel, which is a good thing for us. We love it when people ask good questions!>I think I might have told you about Lonnie Miller, a member of the church who is engaged to Maria, but I don't know if I told you his full story. He is from Farmington, New Mexico. He had never read the Book of Mormon or even heard anything about the church. He had a dream where he was holding onto an iron rod and made his way to a tree. He ate fruit at the tree that was the most delicious he had ever tasted, and people were mocking him because he ate the fruit. He told his wife, an inactive member of the church, about the dream, and she took him to her parents, who pulled out a church magazine with a picture of Lehi's dream in it. Because of this, she and her entire extended family are now active in the church, and they all attend the temple regularly. He is now separated from his wife, because they both messed up, but he is firm in his testimony of the gospel. He bears his testimony when we are there sometimes, and he definitely has a testimony, because the spirit is there when he bears it.>We also have been meeting with the recent convert couple, the Kiernans, who moved to Hinsdale, NY from Straussburg, PA (eastern PA) and they are very excited about the gospel. Sister Kiernan even bought an LDS dictionary so that she could understand the Book of Mormon better when she reads it! They are coming up to church, unless the roads aren't plowed, but they usually are.>We found some new potential investigators when we tracted in Eldred, PA, and will follow up with them tomorrow. We also finally found a media referral at home, and are going to deliver Finding Faith in Christ to them tomorrow.>Other than the above information, we have been visiting members and a few other investigators that we have. Time has been going by fast, and I love sharing the gospel and uplifting others each day.>I hope you all have a great week, and I hope everyone had a good Valentine's day.>>Love,>Elder Ostler

I know a little boy...
Who didn't live in a shoe...but he did have a birthday...so what's a family to do...but bake up a big cake...and wrap gifts up tight...and sing happy birthday...and stay up all night...(well, maybe not all night)...and just before midnight...before Ethan goes to bed...he thinks of some wishes...and hides them in his head...then he opens his presents...and cake eats a lot...then he runs to the mirror...to see how much bigger he got. Oh yeah...and then they send Ethan thru the spanking machine a whole bunch of times. Happy Birthday Ethan. We love you.

Dear family,I have finally received my new e-mail account, so from now on, e-mailme at this address: andjost@myldsmail.netI will probably check my old address once or twice more, but that is it,as I am not allowed to use any other websites.I have had some great lessons with people this week, and some great visits with the members in this area.Maria Welka is one of our investigators, and she loves learning aboutthe gospel. Unfortunately, she has some major stumbling blocks in theway of getting baptized right now, but I think that she will be able to eventually. She is engaged to Lonnie Miller, a member of the churchfrom Farmington, New Mexico, but both her and Lonnie are still marriedto other people, which complicates things a bit. We are helping themmove into a new apartment, which they are cleaning up, repainting, andbasically redoing the interior of. Maria came to church last Sunday, andshe loved it there. She is planning on coming again this week withLonnie. In other news, this may be my last week with Elder Skifton. He is a funperson with a very strong testimony of this gospel. He has shared manystories with me, both sad and funny. I think that one of the things I learned from him is that showing a little love is all it takes for somepeople to come to church. Even just saying "Hi" stopping by and talkingwith someone can make a huge difference in someones life. He is a good example for me to follow, and I hope that I can take the best fromhim and apply it to my own self.A story for this week...I can't think of one right now...so much pressure.I really can't think of a really good story at the moment, so I think that I will instead write a letter to you with a story or maybe even a few in it.This is all that I can think of writing at the moment, so I will send abigger letter in the mail later.I hope you all have a great week, and remember, send any future e-mail to andjost@myldsmail.net .Love,Elder Ostler
Meme ponderings.
I'm loving reading the results of the family meme...and Lisa you're up next. Here's an idea just to toss it up a little...when you get tagged to answer why don't you delete one of my original questions and add a question of your own. That way every time it gets passed on there will also be a new question. Besides, I know all of you have great questions that I didn't think of. OK, carry on.

Spit-wad Sighting

Today I was working at the school (I really was working, and it was 82 degrees in my room) and as I gazed out at the yelling students in the hall I saw a SPIT-WAD. I watched it sit lifelessly for about 10 minutes as it clung to the ceiling, blocking the way to the library. This is the time of year that spit-wads, pencils and other objects frequent the ceilings in most schools. This was the first spit-wad I've seen just outside of my room so I was VERY excited. Luckily, the picture is one I took. Ok...I'm off to count my blessings and then work some more.

Today I was working at the beach (I really was working, and it was 82 degrees) and as I gazed out at the ocean I saw a WHALE. I watched it blow it's spout for about 10 minutes as it made its way up the coast to Malibu. This is the time of year that the whales and especially dolphins spend their day feeding on day trips between Palos Verdes and Malibu. This was the first whale I've seen in our bay so I was VERY excited. Sadly, the picture is not one I took. But it's the closest one I could find to what it looked like. Although I saw a bit more of it's head and back. Ok...I'm off to count my blessings and then work some more.

Passing on a GREAT find.
Really good things are worth sharing. Yesterday Bradley told me about "Pandora." If you don't know about it, you should check it out. It's a FREE website that allows you to "create your own radio station." Basically you type in the name of an artist or band that you love and Pandora creates a whole radio station based on music that is in the same vein as that artist or band. It's a killer way to find music that is similar to music that you love. Pandora's interface is incredibly easy and while the music is playing you can give it a "thumbs up" which means they'll continue playing stuff like that or you can give a song a "thumbs down" which then causes them to skip it (flash a "sorry, we won't play any more songs like that message) and go to the next song. Since I spend so much time sitting at my desk writing scripts and stuff I now have a really cool way to match my music to my mood. Of course, once you've got your own radio station going, I recommend you stream the music wirelessly to your home stereo.

The first Denny+Connect meme.
What's a meme you're wondering? It's loosely defined as "a piece of information that gets passed from one person to the next." In the blogosphere, a blogger might get "tagged" to answer a meme, and once they've answered it they have to "tag" another blogger to answer it after them. I thought it would be very fun to do an "all in the family meme" here on Denny+Connect. Besides, it will help us learn more juicy details about each of us. So....for the first Denny Family meme...I'm tagging Kara Willey. Kara...you have to now post your answers to the following questions and then you pass on the questions to another person in the family of your choice. I can hardly wait to read your answers. (You probably want to copy and past the questions into your post so everyone can remember them.) (Note to everyone: Don't worry about doing other posts about other things in between...the meme will just continue on throughout all the family) Here you go Kara:
